2013 NFL Draft thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we got the #1 we're obviously trading down. Don't see any QB worth taking #1.

Unfortunately there will be less teams looking to move up this year. You look at almost every team in the league and they either have a perennial pro-bowl caliber QB, or they have a 1st or 2nd year promising QB. Off the top of my head I can say Tampa may be looking for a replacement at QB if they struggle again. Sanchez might be out if they have another mediocre season. I could see the Chiefs and the Cardinals take a QB if their seasons go in the tank as Cassell, Kolb, and Skelton don't scream franchise.

Yeah there will be at 2-3 teams looking for a qb. The Jags could be looking too because Blaine Gabbert looks pretty horrible. But its a pretty deep qb crop, and I don't see any standouts. Watch Geno Smith, his stock is going to start rising like crazy.

Obviously you don't understand how hard it is to find a mature rookie that knows how to take continuous losses in stride. Imagine if Weeden was 22, he'd probably be pouting on the sidelines or yelling at the media in this situation. Weeden's Dad is probably 90, if he's still alive, so we're not going to hear him chiming in either. Weeden is a calming force from week to week, failure to failure.

So I don't understand where you're coming from here, unless of course you believe Weeden is going to announce retirement at the end of the year. You know, it's just hard to tell on the internet and all since you didn't include a "LOL" or a smiley face, so I am completely flummoxed as to the context of your statement.

I don't wanna trade down. You guys really bought into Heckert's let's stockpile picks...unless Gruden or whoever coach we get is great at draft scouting, you take the BPA. We need more impact players on defense

If a cant miss QB is there, you take him. It's the toughest position to fill in the NFL. If the draft was today I'd take a DE.

Is there an impact CB we could get at the top of the draft, our secondary looked so bad yesterday

Better pray we don't need a QB (for 1,000 reasons).

Right now, it's Jarvis Jones, Barkevious Mingo, Sam Montgomery, then everyone else.

Jon Banks is awesome, but a guy to keep an eye on is Logan Ryan from Rutgers. Pre-season, he was the 7th ranked CB (from NFLdraftscout). And he's been incredible this year. I would say he's a fringe 1st/2nd rounder now, but as you know, everything changes.

You know,I think I'm good with Weeden. He isn't going to be as good as Luck or RG3, but I'd put his upside at Flacco or Matt Ryan. Unless Gordon takes major steps, I'd say WR is still our biggest offensive hole. But we really need help on defense. DQ is our only decent LB, and Haden is our entire secondary.

Outside Linebacker, Free Safety and another Cornerback are our three biggest defensive needs. Offensive needs are offensive guard, wide receiver, fullback and a backup RB.

Granted i think we'll fill needs in free agency as well

I don't really want to trade down either but now that we don't have a 2nd round pick, we need to trade down.
