So if we loose Wiggins AND Waiters, but sign old man Ray Allen: Who plays the other 30 minutes per game at SG ?

This won't be happening. And if for some crazy reason it does, we'd be getting a SG back in a trade.

I can't say I endorse this Miami heat style team building...There was something exciting about those late 80s/90s teams because most of them were guys we drafted and developed together.

Yeah, but there was a lot of luck and steering going on there, too. Kareem demanded a trade to a big market, and the Knicks couldn't do it. Then the Lakers lucked into the picks of Magic and Worthy, when incompetent GMs/owners gave them gifts. The Celtics were also able to build the original Big 3 by trading picks to Golden State for Parrish and the rights to McHale.

I'm not sure those teams were built any more organically than the current Cavs.

As long as everybody has the same goal in mind, winning championships, I could care less about who they suited up for last. Why the hell does it matter? Really immature train of thought.
