2015 Draft Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
White against Alabama was ridiculous. Talk about a coming out party.

How early is too early to draft the Florida State kicker, Roberto Aguayo? We need him.

Can he hold or snap?

To answer your question though, he's draft eligible this year.

Given our struggles along the DL, Danny Shelton from Washington is rising up draft boards this season. Probably a late 1st, early 2nd round prospect at this point.

He's 6'2" 340 lbs.

30 solo tackles, 7 sacks, 10 TFL.

Speaking of Washington, Shaq Thompson is gonna be a Lavonte David-type WLB in the NFL. Hau'oli Kikaha (OLB) and Marcus Peters (CB) are probable 1st rounders too.

I've mentioned Kikaha here before, really like him for the Pettine defense.

I'd like to see the Browns get some Vic Beasley

Dedicating today to watching some college football and doing jack shit.

A few thoughts so far:

Texas QB Tyrone Swoopes is impressive. He might have the most physical talent for the position across college football. HUGE arm, good natural mechanics that will get better but still tends to fly open a bit when throwing left. Right now he makes some flat out terrible decisions and is overall just raw talent with little feel for the offense or how to break down a defense, but he's got a chance to be really special in two years. --- Not a 2015 prospect

Oklahoma NT Jordan Phillips is a monster, 6'6 335+ and almost impossible to defend inside today. Injuries plagued his career thus far, but my goodness does this kid have some athleticism on his large frame.

Texas RB Malcolm Brown might be the most disappointing player for me today. Almost Trent Richardson-like vision for the holes and slow in and out of his breaks.

Oklahoma QB Trevor Knight may end up being a mid-round prospect when it's all said and done. Undersized, not a real big arm, but knows how to work an offense and distribute to his playmakers.

But does he have big hands?

How attractive is he? Hot or Not?

Haven't been overly impressed with any Qb this year. Hundley seems to have no feel for pressure. Mariota doesn't seem like he's quite NFL ready yet. Maybe that changes. He does seem to have all the tools that you would look for in a AFCN passer. There's supposedly some questions about Winston's mechanics. I don't think it's anything that will hinder him. He's poised and mature on the field, an overgrown child off of it. Both the Ole Miss and Miss St Qb's seem like interesting sleepers. It takes more than some decent recruiting to turn those teams around in the SEC West. I like Kevin Hogan, sort of the bastard version of Luck.

My favorite player so far this year is that Oregon corner with the unpronounceable name.

Really disappointed in that Hundley and Mariota have leveled off a bit in terms of development.

Not sure if he's a 2015 prospect, but Tyler Boyd is taking Kendall Fuller to school right now. Yes, Fuller, the one who shutsdown every WR he faces

2016

In my opinion, the Browns biggest needs thus far are (in-order):

1. Defensive End
2. Nose Tackle
3. OL depth
4. Wide Receiver
5. Strong Safety

Yeah...it'll be interesting to see where we are once we come out of free agency. There's some solid WRs that are UFA's that could certainly help us out. These include:

Cecil Shorts (born in Cleveland, played at Mount Union)
Jeremy Maclin
Michael Crabtree (injury history scares me a bit)
Kenny Britt
Hakeem Nicks

Keep Dreaming
Randall Cobb
Dez Bryant (Riiiiight....but they will have to pay Murray as well)

Point being, there for sure is some talent in the FA class. a number of guys that have the ability to be a legit #2 option. Shorts does intrigue me, though.
