Lonnie is horrible too.

Urshela, Lindor, Kipnis, and Santana in a few years is going to be so nice.

Maybe I should more often complain about Swisher.

Can someone remind me which team had Gomes before us? The guy is a beast. Games seem secure when he catches. Gomes is a stud's stud.

Toronto.

We traded Esmil Rogers for him and Aviles.

@AZ_

How much longer do you think we have to wait on getting Lindor up here before it makes sense both financially and in terms of the roster foundation to actually do it?

It already makes sense financially.

It makes sense from a roster perspective (send Ramirez to CBus).

I have no earthly idea why he's not up at this point, short of not being happy with his development thus far at AAA.

Who do you remove from the 40 man?

That's right. Highway robbery hitting the jackpot.

Rogers has been pretty subpar since the trade too (6.29 ERA out of the pen for NYY this season).

Definitely one of the better trades we've made in recent years.

Carlos Moncrief seems like the most likely candidate, IMO

That's who I was thinking. Only batting .171 for Columbus this year. Power is still there, but I just can't see him cracking the MLB roster anytime soon.

I don't follow the minors like some of you but I keep hearing all of these prospect names. It seems we could offer up a package to get an above average bat and even a starter to make the run.

Speaking of the minors and starting pitching, Cody Anderson was promoted from Akron to Columbus today. He'll make his first start against Justin Verlander who's rehabbing with Toledo. Anderson was lights out in Akron, and if all goes well, I wouldn't put a rotation of Kluber, Bauer, Salazar, Carrasco, and Anderson out of the realm of future possibilities.

Tribe need just three outs!
