Yeah, you're right. With Tomlin and Floyd on the 60 day, the current 40 man roster stands at 39.

Francona came out the other day and said Lindor isn't ready, and followed that up with 'he's just not'
So this isn't a financial decision? What the hell is it then?
Even if Lindor isn't 'ready', how the hell is Ramirez ready? The bar is so unbelievably low I honestly think LeBron would be better at shortstop just because he has legendary athleticism. Ramirez is batting one eighty. He is miserable in the field, and most importantly, I hate him. Also he is ONE year older than Lindor, and he played in the bigs last year.
Seriously cut the shit and bring him up. There is zero BASEBALL reason not to.

Just think about a close up of LeBron with his signature stare while you realize as the camera pans downs to see him in a Indians jersey and pound his fist in his glove as the caption reads. "He is better than anything we have now" Then comes the line "Are you ready?"

So because Ramirez isn't ready got rush Lindor? That is pretty asinine. Lindor hasn't hit in Columbus- he has been good the last week- and his defense has been inconsistent. I'm not sure why fans want a young guy who hasn't been consistent at AAA to be brought up and expected to be consistent at the big league level. I don't think any of you remember Brandon Phillips, who was similarly rushed, picked up bad habits, was atrocious at the big league level and never recovered here. I don't want to see another situation like that. If that means making Lindor stay in AAA for-*gasp*- several months to maybe even a while season, then so be it. If they need a SS them go trade for a stop gap.

Chiz has to do better than this. He is not nearly the defender to justify being such a lousy hitter. I suppose his hot first half last year has bought him plenty of time, but he looks like a guy that has no clue what he is doing at the plate.
