The schedule is primed for the Cavs to get off to a fast start, with 10 of the first 14 at home. March looks like a meatgrinder, with four separate road trips.

My personal five favorite home games for the season:

1. Oct 25 vs. Knicks: Season opener. Rings. Banner. What's not to like?
2. Dec 25 vs. Dubs: Does the visitors' locker room still smell like champagne, Steph?
3. (tie) Dec 21/Feb 27 vs. Bucks: Delly returns. And he deserves some standing Os.
4. Nov 23 vs. Blazers: Night before Thanksgiving, and the Cavs and Blazers always put on a show (Kyrie 55 points; Baby Dame Dolla's dagger at the buzzer)
5. Jan 21 vs. Spurs: Those ABC Saturday night games have extra energy, and the Spurs, even without Big Fundy, are still the Spurs.

Cannot wait for this season to begin.

Seems like many more weekend home games this year.

From Cavs.Com:
  • 18 sets of back-to-back games, including one home-home set (Dec. 9-10), six home-road sets (Nov. 15-16, Dec. 1-2, Dec. 13-14, Dec. 25-26, Jan. 29-30 and April 4-5), five road-home sets (Oct. 28-29, Dec. 20-21, Feb. 14-15, March 24-25 and March 30-31) and six road-road sets (Jan. 10-11, Feb. 8-9, March 3-4, March 11-12, March 18-19, April 9-10).

  • Cleveland opens the season with 10 of their first 14 games at The Q.

  • Three matinee games at home this season, which include Nov. 13 vs. Charlotte (3:30 p.m.), Dec. 25 vs. Golden State (2:30 p.m.) and Jan. 29 vs. Oklahoma City (3:30 p.m.).

  • Four consecutive home games from Feb. 15-Feb. 27 highlighted by visits from the New York Knicks (Feb. 23) after the All-Star break and Chicago Bulls (Feb. 25).

  • Additionally, the Cavs have three-game home stands on six occasions (Oct. 29-Nov. 3, Nov. 18-25, Dec. 9-13, Dec. 21-25, Jan. 25-29, March 31-April 4) and two-game home stands on four occasions (Nov. 13-15, Jan. 2-4, Jan. 19-21 and March 14-16).

  • Their longest road trip, spanning six games from Jan. 6-16, is highlighted by a MLK Day matchup with the Golden State Warriors (Jan. 16).

  • Cleveland will play 17 road games from Feb. 4 through March 30, including 12 such road games in the month of March.

We got three fewer national TV games than the Warriors. What a fucking farce.

But they are the defending champs with KD... Oh Wait...

NVM the major networks need some team to bring in the casual fans. That is the Warriors. They are always going to be the "good" team. We have to play the role of the villian again...

That is weird. I would always assume the Lebron cavs would get max national games

Yup. They got the maximum amount last season and I believe they did in 2014-15 as well. Seems strange that the league wouldn't want their defending champion to get the most exposure possible. Hell, the Clippers even got one more national game than the Cavs (26 vs. 25).

I'm annoyed that the new Knicks team has to debut on your ring night. That's always a hard game for the road team to win. It's just one game but it's a tough way to have to start the season.

These are the types of regular season games the Cavs have blown over the last 2 years though, so I wouldn't get too down on your chances.

Not villian. Underdogs. Everyone loves the underdog.

I hate the Spurs but I hope they embarrass the Warrirors in game 1

True good point. I guess I'm more mad that the Knicks have a relatively challenging schedule as they figure out new chemistry while the Warriors have the easiest schedule in the NBA until January. How convenient for the Warriors.

NBA wants to try and replicate last season with the streak.

Mark me down for March 11 in Orlando! Bout time they come here on a Saturday. But sadly, like every year, orlando game is the first night of a back to back
