#24: Tyus Jones - PG - Duke University (Traded to T'Wolves for #31 & #36)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hence the selection of a dude from Turkey who won't be in the league until I'm, like, 50...

Exactly, hence that selection. Future asset. Can be traded, but we don't have to add to the roster and waste a spot or pay 4 times the value in tax.

I feel like I am arguing with a 12 year old here.

Jones was the MVP of the Duke team for the entire year. Duke's production, on both offense and defense, was better with him on the floor than it was with Okafor on the floor this season.

You'd think folks would pay attention to that 'advanced statistic,' of course. But, umm, WINGSPAN!!11

Oh wait, I didnt realize he is better than Okafor?

My bad, you proved your point. Should have kept him.

You do believe in advanced metrics, no?

If not, this conversation is over.

That being said, if you believe in them, Jones was Duke's MVP for the entire year in terms of offensive and defensive efficiency.

Did you just fucking quote yourself? Am I arguing with Me, Myself and Kyrie?

I'm enjoying this way to much. I guess after the uneventfulness that was our draft, this was needed. High quality entertainment.

So all I have to say is I don't believe in advanced metrics and you go home? I had the power all along?

Or it's a sign that you're a troglodyte who thinks that one's height or shuttle speed constitutes his full value as an NBA prospect.

Trying to discredit facts with 'omg he's short!!' facts is certainly entertaining.

First of all, I am a grown man, I would never say "OMG"

Second, never argued he is too short. Energy bench pg's can be short.

I am arguing I rather have Mo for the next 2 years and not to upset we traded the pick. That is all my argument is about.

Wait, I've been talking about Jones' height this entire time? Man, I thought I was discussing his lack of foot-speed and that he is going to be a revolving door on defense. Guess I need some sleep.

His alleged lack of foot speed is a height equivalent. Lack of foot speed is why Kyrie is such a terrible player, as we all know.

He did say something about a wingspan. So there is that.

I never said anything about his size or speed.

But, the metrics in college when undersized and under athletic do not typically translate to the pros when its a mans league.

That said, I think its a nice pick for Minny. He has a future as a rotational player in the NBA, but we don't have time to develop our backup pg.

Delly played 4 years in college and this is 2nd year in the nba, soon to be 3rd and he is not developed enough as a full time backup.

We need a back up pg, we have 3rd in delly, a rookie with only 1 year of college will not properly fill that role on a contending team.

Now go home, a hear some one screaming Beatle Juice, Beatle Juice, Beatle Juice.
