Do you people even remember what the original post said.

It said I was sad you guys will not give a homegrown talent another chance if he wants to come back and make right on his promise. As in, come back to Ohio. He currently lives in Florida...did you know this? And is from Ohio?

Fucking ... wow.

I was responding to the content in your post. I am not obligated to read everything in this thread.

If you dislike that then I suggest you write better.

My original post? No, apparently you were not replying to it. I suggest you read the entire discussion before jumping smack in the middle of it.

50 plus years without a title, and Cleveland fans still want to pick and choose "how" they win a title. To the point where they won't accept a homegrown talent (one of the greatest ever) back on their team and give him a chance to make amends. Pretty sad, but in all honesty, it doesn't surprise me. Cleveland fans are the best in the world....until things don't go their way, then all bets are off. The excuse that it's been so long since we've won doesn't fly. If James is willing to come back, every single Cleveland fan should be on board.

Just how I feel.

Shocking I had to go back and requote my whole post. You probably still will keep nitpicking one word out of that post.

Even using your loose definition of "homegrown", why does that even matter if he is homegrown or not?

I actually hope he comes back not just because it is best for the Cavaliers, but so I can see the confused and puzzled looks on your two faces as you struggle to cope with it. Would be hilarious. I'm guessing you'll buy his jersey and go on rooting for the team, making you both look like fools.

PS: There is no loose definition of homegrown. The guy is from northeast Ohio. :chuckles: A retarded monkey can understand this logic. It isn't even pertinent to my post, I threw it in there because it was a fact and nobody would argue it. But some ignoramus found a way to argue it. Go figure.

that was painful to read

Yeah...it's been 3 years buddy ... time to let go of the bitterness ... I know you can do it.

More like you thought that throwing it in would help your argument, but when pressed, you made up some BS.

Now you've jumped to discussing whether or not we'd buy jerseys? Holy non sequitor, Batman.

You want him back. We get it. But pretending like his being from Akron has any relevance to anything is laughable.

The only laughable thing here is how the only part of my post you can argue with is the one part that is actually factual (he is a homegrown talent). I would think that'd make you more willing to give him a second chance, but the constant mantra of "Buh buh buh he doesn't consider Cleveland his home!!!!!" tells me that no, you wouldn't. So that solves that.

We all fell for the "he's a local kid, he'd never leave" angle back in 2010. If you want to be fooled by that schtick again, be my guest.

I'm not sure it plays into whether or not he'd come back, but I thought it'd make people a tad more forgiving. I guess not. I'm the kind of person who lets people own up to their shit and make things right. He's not going to get on his knees and suck all of our dicks in apology, let's just let go of that dream. But him coming back although partially self-serving would be enough of a gesture that he wants to do right by Cleveland, for me anyways.

Lots of people are from Ohio and don't consider Cleveland home. He is the one who has been most vocal about it.

I live in Summit county, closer to Akron. I meet and deal with hundreds of people each day through work. I am yet to meet a single person who makes it a point to call Akron 'home' to the exclusion of the rest of the surrounding area. LBJ is literally the first person I have seen to create a divide between Cleveland and Akron...it's the same metropolitan area. This must stem from some bad childhood playground experiences or rivalry or something, because it's unheard of by everyone else.

Apologizing for how he played before he left is a great start. But lets be honest. That is not going to happen so i want no part of that guy.

This thread wreaks of pussy.

Woah woah woah

When have things gone Cleveland fans' way? Did I miss the parade!?

I consider Cleveland fans the best I the world because it NEVER goes our way.

But yeah, gotta take emotion out of business. I want to attend a Cleveland championship parade for a big 3 sport once in my life (which I have promised to fly up from Fla. for when it happens).

I don't like the guy personally, but when one of the greatest players on the planet wants to join your team, you don't stomp away and pout.
