Bills Updates: Pick Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, but we keep saying that thing about the Browns, and then they finish 4-12 every year. :chuckle:

Right, that's my point :chuckle:.. I'm saying Buffalo isn't gonna be close to 7-9

And that's not even taking into account that their coach is screaming "fire me" at management, an embarrassment even Cleveland has somehow managed to avoid over the past decade.

I hope you guys are right, obviously. But I have a bad feeling about it.

How can you have a bad feeling about an additional 1st round pick in the NFL Draft? Having two picks regardless of the # is fantastic.

Why? The Bills and Raiders are like the only two franchises in the NFL as shitty as ours. Getting a pick from either is just free money.

And as AMC said, a first-rounder in the NFL is a hell of a haul regardless of where it falls.

Don't be surprised when the Bills are closer to 0.500 than worst team in the league. Their defense caused a lot of QBs to struggle last season, and that was while being stranded out on the field forever with their sputtering offense. I don't think Kiko's absence will be enough to nullify that, and I think once the season starts and they open up their playbook a bit, Sammy and Spiller are going to start making plays and make EJ look a lot better.

I still think they go 7-9.

I thought this before all the injuries they sustained, but that roster is so depleted right now. And then their coach going apeshit...yeah, this is going to be a train wreck year for them. And we are going to benefit immensely.

What if there aren't any good QB options at number one? You don't draft one just to draft one. You draft one if there's a game-changer on the board.

I believe Mariota will fit that bill. But hopefully there will be more than one, it's good to have options.

I like how their coach is trying to rationalize his self glossed nickname of "Saint Doug".

No wonder Banner and Lombardi loved him, he's got a bigger ego than both of them combined, which is saying something.

Bills are going to be a massive trainwreck. Their QB has regressed a ton, their new "stud" WR can't stay healthy and has been pretty average when he has been healthy, they lost their stud MLB, and their new DC is an egomaniac as well. All the makings of a colossal fuck up.

What about the jags?

You might be right, but the defense of last year may not be what you see this year... For one, Pettine was D-Coordinator, O'Neil was LB coach... Also, Alonso is out for the year and the entire front office and coach seem to be having differences of opinion (at least).

Gilmore is out for Bills.

Manuel 7/8 for 84 yards, 3 carries for 15 yards and a TD to start the game against the Bears
