Well according to David Griffin, they are using the SL to work on aspects of Joe's game that he needs to improve, so they try to put him more in those positions in whic he is weak.
Maybe that has something to do with it.

But frankly, I don't see him do anything really different.

maybe they're making excuses in order to make him sound better and potentially increase whatever trade value he has. if not, they're just crazy lol.

I really liked him, I'm greatly disappointed.
