Saw this on DraftExpress's twitter. Summer League leaders in PER. Speaks for itself.
You like to keep the hope alive on below average players. He doesn't have it, count him out. We're going into year two trying to upgrade his position, he's not even in the Cavs plans, but carry on.
I don't know why I let it get to me every year. It's always the same. People just can't wait to rush to judgment about players based on Summer League play. It's always stupid but it will never stop.
I think the reason the summer league exists in the first place is to allow coaches and GMs to judge how well their potential players play. So I think if professionals rely on it, we can too.
You already hitched yourself to the "he sucks" bandwagon. I guess there is no going back for you.
From what I saw, Christmas got off to slow start in the second game as well. He did in MHO, get better as the game went on. Hopefully, as he better adjusts, he will improve.I have literally said "this is only one game and I hope he improves" on 90% of my posts in this thread.
Also - Like I said, he still wasn't anywhere good enough in the second game too.
He VERY rarely actually played with those guys during an actual game, though. After the trades, he only played in garbage time. So he was more comfortable playing with the D-league team. He looked pretty good there so that was promising. But after an entire season practicing with and actually being on an NBA roster, he looks significantly worse than a lot of the rookies he's playing against in SL. I see that as an issue.I think it is not simple at all "downgrading" from teamplay alongside love, shump, kyrie etc.. Having to play without your comfort entire season players and sets really is a mentall bummer IMO. I think Harris has proved to the team and blatt his abillities and while not being a top player he knows his value. (Which is Ok but not a lot more than that)
