So it wasn't on tv until 9 am this morning and the ticker ruined the final score, but who cares, you watch for the all the young cats and scores are an after thought. However, I thought the last couple possessions were horrible on the officiating side. I know they are auditioning too but still, you just failed the test, you will never be called up into the NBA.

Anyways, Xmas showed up decently in this game. Some good offensive and defensive plays. I have no idea what is up with Harris. Dude should be killing it right now and clearly he isn't.

You like to keep the hope alive on below average players. He doesn't have it, count him out. We're going into year two trying to upgrade his position, he's not even in the Cavs plans, but carry on.

What are you even talking about?

My statement has nothing to do with trying to keep hope alive on any player. My posting history certainly isn't one of a person who tries to puff up players that aren't performing. I don't know how anyone could claim otherwise.

I didn't even mention a player. In fact, it works in both directions. As much as I wish people wouldn't declare a player to be a bust based on a summer league game or two, I wish people wouldn't declare someone the next GOAT based on a summer league game or two.

So, again, what are you talking about?

I was just assuming you were backing up the scrub that is Joe Harris, that's all.

Harris is a role player. He's not a playmaker, never will be. He has a role on the cavs if he can shoot and defend. In the SL you see loads of low quality playmakers do well and hustle guys. Cavs have a glut of both of these but at an elite level. Harris is a better 15 th man for the cavs then most

I don't know why I let it get to me every year. It's always the same. People just can't wait to rush to judgment about players based on Summer League play. It's always stupid but it will never stop.

I think the reason the summer league exists in the first place is to allow coaches and GMs to judge how well their potential players play. So I think if professionals rely on it, we can too.

However we are not GMs or Coaches so we have no say in the matter. Yes I get your point however this is like saying you were eating the burger as they tried to perfect it. There will never be a true outcome. Either you like it or you do not on a day to day basis.

I don't know about anyone else in here, but I've watched some of these games of different teams and it looks like a lot of the players have awkward jump shots..seen a ton of air balls..and releases that look like the player's wrists are broke or they've never taken a shot in their career.

I'm not sure why the expectations were so high for Joe? He's not the kind of guy that is going to dominate a NBA game, regardless of the level. He doesn't have that kind of game. He's at his best when he is coming off screens and getting open looks, he's not going to break down a guy with his dribble and/or create a shot for himself or others.

You already hitched yourself to the "he sucks" bandwagon. I guess there is no going back for you.

I have literally said "this is only one game and I hope he improves" on 90% of my posts in this thread.

Also - Like I said, he still wasn't anywhere good enough in the second game too.

Tarence Anthony Kinsey became a 6-time champion overseas.

From what I saw, Christmas got off to slow start in the second game as well. He did in MHO, get better as the game went on. Hopefully, as he better adjusts, he will improve.

I think it is not simple at all "downgrading" from teamplay alongside love, shump, kyrie etc.. Having to play without your comfort entire season players and sets really is a mentall bummer IMO. I think Harris has proved to the team and blatt his abillities and while not being a top player he knows his value. (Which is Ok but not a lot more than that)

He VERY rarely actually played with those guys during an actual game, though. After the trades, he only played in garbage time. So he was more comfortable playing with the D-league team. He looked pretty good there so that was promising. But after an entire season practicing with and actually being on an NBA roster, he looks significantly worse than a lot of the rookies he's playing against in SL. I see that as an issue.
