Belcher's mother was visiting the couple and saw the shooting. The couple had a 3-month-old daughter who was also at the house, the report said.

This is horrific on many levels. The issue here is what drives people to do things like this. Why? What and why. Not HOW they did it, but why. What leads a person to do something like this. Call it cowardly, call it whatever; it's a situation that involves a human being...like each and every one of us. I hope no one ever thinks about committing suicide, but if you EVER have or have any humility at all, you really hate to see things like this happen.

Just awful. If it get confirmed that he did this as a result of brain damage from football (no one does this in their right mind), then it could be VERY bad for the league.

He shot himself in the head, so I would assume that it would be impossible to find anything like this now. IIRC, this was one reason Seau shot himself in the chest.

Call it cowardly if you want, disagree with that if you want, but don't get into a pissing contest about it. There are bigger issues here. 2 people are dead and a young infant is left parentless. That's the issue here, not whether or not it was cowardly.

If the NFL and KC Chiefs play some sort of tribute or something for this guy, I will consider them a joke. He shot his girl multiple times, it was no accident like one guy pointed out above. A baby is left behind, good thing she/he didn't have to envision this as she gets older and be traumatized. Bless that child and mother. You have to be crazy to shoot yourself. Wow

jesus this is awful. a mother has to see her daughter get murdered in front of her? after the daughter had given birth just months before? and a coach/gm have a player "thank" them then proceed to shoot himself in the head? ugh.

Why the hell would they do a tribute? Entirely too early for the NFL or the team to do anything but ask for a moment of silence.
