David Blatt is a former NBA coach

blatt has been a god damn head coach for 3 months now, dealing with a roster of rejects, has beens, and injured players. how about for a second, you step away from the ledge and realize rome was not built in a day.

Regardless of him coaching losers like Kyrie,Love... He still has more talent than 80% of the league. The fact that he cant coach them to at least 5 games above .500 in 40 games and we expected him to work a miracle with Irving,Dion and Wiggins is frightening

Love does show effort and that is the worst part. He needs to show more effort however as just trying wont cut it the play offs. As for Kyrie you are right it is like he reverted back to the no D player we saw when LeBron went down. I am not sure Kyrie will ever be good at defense and have to work around it and that sucks.

Jones being on the court was incidental to the game tightening. The only 3 times he was noticeable were when Morris posted him and scored easily, when he was nowhere to be found on a key offensive board for PHX and when he clanged an open 3 in the final minute.

no, it was KEY to the game tightening, because it meant someone else was defending morris - whether that was marion or jones himself.

if love can't guard him or guard anyone, and does nothing for the team offensively - who do you play ?

yep i agree. but at the same time kevin love was still 3-11 and -20. pretty much anyone would have been a better choice

You don't trade the best draft prospect in years and a pick and pay a guy 15 million to treat him like Drew Gooden. Love needs to learn. He should have been in there win or lose.

Don't get not using Mozgov to end the game at least as a situational sub. Not switching Lebron onto Morris (this was after even the Cavs announcers were predicting Lebron would be switched to him). James Jones for all those minutes in the 4th? Don't get what this guy is doing.

so its okay to lose if you have love playing. but its not okay to bench him, ride the hot hand, and try and win the game.

Kevin Love and Mozgov were brought here to finish games. Regardless if they are having bad games or not they need to finish games in order to establish this team's identity.

The good coaches aren't arrogant enough to bench their superstars when games are on the line. Kevin Love would get a better "message" if he was on the floor WHILE they lost. What is this going to accomplish other than making us more dysfunctional. I'm so done with David Blatt.

thats right ladies and gentlemen, we have 2 posters here saying flat out its okay to lose a game to teach kevin love a lesson as long as he is on the court.

but to try and win a game, with love on he bench, while playing the hot hand is entirely unacceptable.

I'm wondering if Lue is prepped for these lineups Blatt is throwing out there. Either way if this same shit happens in LA someone is losing their job, whether it's Lue or Blatt, I can assure you it won't be Love or Irving.
