What did James Jones have to do with ANY of it? He wasn't making shots. He wasn't slowing down Morris. And he's the guy who decided to not box out Tucker at the end. J.R. Smith going full inferno mode and hitting everything has nothing at all to do with James Jones.

Someone point to me the positive thing Jones did that really contributed to the Cavs getting back in that game.

And if you want a very specific example of Blatt just royally screwing up, how about by leaving Jones in the game on the most important possession? LeBron makes 2 FTs to cut it to 3, and instead of subbing Jones out, he leaves him in. On defense. Tucker gets the offensive rebound because Jones failed to box out and that was that.

Even if you want to argue Jones helped propel the come back, how can you honestly argue he should have stayed in the game on the most important defensive possession, when Blatt actually had a chance to take him?

Well I sure as fuck am not siding with you and Mrsix that we should dump Love and Kyrie and roll with a Blatt. If you're acting like this is on the players you are crazy. First time they tried in 8 games.

Except:

1) That wasn't the group they went with to make their run. The players who saw the most time on the floor during the late 3rd / early 4th run was LeBron, JR, TT, Marion and Kyrie. Jones and Delly saw a few of those minutes as well.

2) The run wasn't solely because of spacing.. It was because they found the hot hand within the flow of the offense.


... and then they went away from the hot hand and put Jones back in the game.

Having 3 shooters and TT on the floor with Lebron absolutely had something to do with the success in the 2nd half.

JR Smith was the primary scorer on that run, not LeBron. JR had already knocked down three straight threes with LeBron on the bench and then LeBron re-entered the game and they continued to make their run. James Jones comes back in at the 8:00 mark for JR and the game is tied. He proceeds to get bullied, the spacing for LeBron begins to disappear without JR on the floor and the Cavs fold.

the next time love or kyrie play defense let me know, and then ill entertain the idea of blatt no longer being the head coach. instead i am more of a believe each of them should be benched, and lue should be fired
 
Yeah, the people who say it's that lineup that got us the lead didn't really watch the game. Jones was nowhere near Morris on defense. We were getting dominated on the glass as well. If it wasn't for LeBron and JR hitting tough shots, we'd be down more than 20. It was a mostly well played game by LeBron and Smith. A terribly coached game and an almost as terribly officiated game. We were lucky to be in the position we were, but when we went away from LeBron's drive, let James Jones stay in after the run was over, took some dumb shots, didn't box out, couldn't hold Morris, and got some bad calls against us, the game was sealed.
 
Okay I thought about it and I came to this. This is not al Blatt infact he he did the right thing by benching Love in the forth. The problem is bad habits in Kyrie and Love need to be fixed first and foremost. Secondly the team while thrown together need more than Smith and Bron to fire the team up. Third Love needs to see someone to get his mind back he is mentally screwed right now.

Finally Blatt he is new and has us upset at times but so does everyone on this team not named LeBron or Smith (ironically). Basically Blatt is a rookie as well and I am fine him sticking this season out unless we keep losing then he will have to be gone fair or not. Kyrie has to be able to lead when James is not in and Love needs to stop over thinking everything. If anything while I am middle ground with Blatt. I think our other two "star" players are not understanding how this offense is run yet. They have to figure it out and fast and so does Blatt.

Blatt is so fucking clueless right now, how you don't see it is beyond me.
