Dwyane Wade Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can't imagine Riley trading him here.

If Wade leaves (unlikely), he goes to Chicago. Book it.

So we're just gonna throw safari at the end of everything now?
Have you no shame?

Dunno if that's a great fit though. Poorly spaced, and Wade might not want to play against a Central Division rival of LeBron James.

I think if he leaves, he'd force the issue. Riley would be faced with watching Wade walk for nothing, or getting picks and assets. I also don't think Arison would fuck over Wade like that.

Sign. And. Trade.

Miami would S&T him to Chicago.

For who? The only asset Chicago has that's valuable is Mirotic. They plan on building through Mirotic and Butler, they won't give him up. Chicago is actually on the downturn. After the despicable things their FO did, no FA will want to play for them and their drafting sucks.

Noah and picks.

Apparently Stephen A. Smith said Cleveland is on the list for Wade....?
He's been right multiple times before....

“He will [go elsewhere]. No no, he will,” said Smith. “I’ve known d-wade for over a decade. I am telling you: He will leave.

“I don’t know if it will be Cleveland. Cleveland is on the list and LeBron would want him in Cleveland. Its possible. But again, if you’re not gonna get the money anyway, what difference does it make.”

He's been wrong multiple times too. Stephen A, is someone I'll never take seriously.

Even if he's really hearing this, I think it has ploy tactic written all over it. Name dropping us for leverage.

Why not mention to a known journalist you want out, and worse of all name drop Cleveland, Miami's sworn enemy as a destination to go, for less money, to be back with 'Bron, as more motivation for Miami to NOT want that to happen.

Noah and picks.

That doesn't help the Heat at all, and why would Chicago give up picks? What good are non lottery picks and a broken down Noah to the Heat? Might as well just let Wade expire and go from there.

Getting draft picks doesn't help the Heat? Some of the picks we got from signing & trading LeBron to the Heat 5 years ago we used to get Kevin Love...

Why would Chicago give up picks? Um, to get Dwayne Wade...

Noah is only in the deal because he has a large expiring contract that can closely match Wade's salary. Chicago would probably have to include another player with a not-so-large salary to make it work.

The Heat could trade Wade for draft picks, or lose him for nothing if his main priority is getting a max contract and he's willing to leave to ensure getting one. Or if he just wants to play elsewhere period.

Noah's contract does expire after the year at least, but I agree, he's garbage that they wouldn't want for the face of their franchise.

Noah is a corpse, I think of him like what Brandon Haywood is to us. They aren't making the trade for Noah...he's only in the deal simply because he needs to be to make it work.

I don't even think Miami values draft picks that much. They don't think about rebuilding, just re-stocking.

I don't think they'd willingly want Wade going to a rival in Chicago, that would make them better.

Because Miami always has the mindset of re-tooling to compete for titles, instead of rebuilding.

If Wade does leave, then they're entire process will be aiming for Durant and other top notch superstars to compete.

I don't think Wade is seriously leaving though. I think he's just tired of shoveling shit for Riley, and wants to finally be compensated. I think Riley caves.

The Heat still benefit too much having Wade there, then losing him, even if he's not the player he once was. It's still pretty hard to replace his production.

For what it's worth, Atlanta sports radio had a segment on Wade wanting to play with LeBron again and of course the Drama Kings of the station said it was a ploy by D. Wade who would never leave beautiful Miami for ugly Cleveland. I do think D. Wade likes Bron enough, I just don't think the Cavs could offer the money Wade is looking for.
