Gordon Hayward Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Or Cavs showing interest in Hayward helped CLE and him. Suns now probably going to try it and the world (LBJ) knows Cavs aren't waiting around for him with a thumb up their butt. Just did Mark Bartlestein a favor and potentially tied up Suns and Jazz for a bit.

We'll need come up with something creative. Highly doubt Waiters draws much interest at all from Utah.

This whole situation reeks of pressuring LBJ and his camp to have a meeting with us, or we'll move on.

It's like the lamest attempt ever if that's the case.

Just...we aren't the ones in a position to be putting any pressure on him at all. He's the best player in the world. He's on a team that has been extremely successful, and we have been god awful since he left. I just can't imagine the idea of us giving him the old "you better take our call or else!"

I think there is genuine interest in Hayward, and I suspect they'll extend an offer in a week or so.

It only works if LeBron believes his legacy can't handle a 3rd franchise and has to pick Miami or Cleveland.

Writing on the wall starting to show that Heat's plan isn't going to work.

Could be a situation where a Barnes for Waiters flip would make sense

Gordon is an easier, albeit slightly less dynamic, fit in the backcourt with Kyrie. He got good experience as the number one option last year, and I think sliding back into a sidekick role would do wonders for him.

I'm only pulling the trigger on Hayward if we have a deal lined up to parlay Dion into a relatively young, above average defensive center. Even so I'd be a little hesitant to deal my favorite player and a guy I think is about to break out...but those two moves back to back really improve the "fit" of our roster which is something Griffin seems intent on doing.

Idc either way about this Hayward thing. People say we have to get in talent...but don't want to spend money to do it. They act like the fact that a small market team will have to overpay for talent is something new that only started when WE wanted to get free agents. Is Hayward a max player? NO. Is he a borderline max player that has the potential to live up to his contract? YES. Same position as Kyrie.

If you guys want talent it cost...and it cost more than it would on another team....get over that. Its funny seeing people play both those sides of the coin.

Now my take on the move.......I wont cry either way but to the people saying his play isn't good enough and he'll struggle here......

Just remember usually guys his age move from being the number 2 or 3 option onto a new team and that team expects him to be the number 1 option. The luxury we have with Hayward is in his 4 years hes already gone through being his teams beta and alpha. So we don't have to worry how he'll do because we will be taking the work load OFF of him. I believe if you put him here on this team with Blatt his %'s will go back up to what they were 2-3 years ago.

:puke: A Barnes for Waiters flip will never make sense.

Makes sense for GS....Waiters shits on Barnes. An don top of that Barnes sux as like the Warriors' 19th scoring option....Waiters was basically our number 2 option...number 1 when Kyrie got hurt and if I remember correctly averaged 19PPG on a solid % at the end of the year

I know people think Dion will be traded but im not seeing anything worth it in the rumor mill. Usually when you trade players you get a better player or equal player back........For some reason a lot of people on the trade Dion train ignore that rule.

WKYC's Jim Donovan reporting the Cavs have moved on from LBJ, officially over.
