Harrison Barnes WILL MAKE 6 TEAMS PAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Welcome Dion Waiters

I agree with most of that, except for that he's performing adequately. He's awful. AWFUL. He's getting 20-25mpg and doing nothing while he's out there. He sucks. Can't wait til he's a 10-12mpg end of bench guy.

I mean, it's kind of hard to judge him the same as most of the other top ten picks. The kid shoots 7.5 shots a game in those 25 minutes because he's playing next to guys like Curry (17.3 shots per game), Thompson (14.4), and Lee (15.2). When you're the fourth offensive option on your team, you're not going to get many chances to shoot.

I agree that he's not exactly lighting the world on fire, but he's shooting 43.8% from the field and 36.4% from three. He is who we thought he is. A spot up shooter and a decent defender. That is, of course, why I wanted no part of him with the fourth pick. He can't create for himself like Waiters, he lacks the motor of a guy like MKG, and he lacks the pure shooting potential of Beal. I think it's reasonable to assume his FG% will improve over time, and it's likely he'll eventually approach 40% from three. As the seventh pick in the draft, he wasn't a terrible choice.

Re: Welcome Dion Waiters

Every time I watch GS Barnes just kind of floats around

I am hoping Irving plays tomorrow just so i can see how Dion approaches offensively now. The dude knows what he can do out there; but, I feel it will be interesting to see if he defers to him late if he has a hot hand or something going forward.

When I watch Harrison Barnes I become aroused with his potential.. My member goes from 6 to 2 and then to 10 and then settling firmly at midnight before retiring into a moist satin brief after exploding with delight.

His game is wet and I like wet. 6'8" with a spin move that reminds me of the finest chocolate fondue.

Mmmmmmm

In 4 of his last 6 games:

1-4 for 3pts
1-5 for 3pts
1-7 for 3pts
1-8 for 7pts

Am I doing this right? :chuckles:

How does he compare to you during your playing days?

The problem is that even the finest chocolate fondu base becomes somewhat hard and gooy in just a very short time.

Ill admit I wanted Barnes over Waiters but I'm glad we have Dion now

Re: Welcome Dion Waiters

Basketball is kind of irrelevant. He has a sweet logo and an even cooler nickname. Haters will rue the day they doubted The Black Falcon.

What's more amazing is that he already had this logo even before he was drafted.

I'm with JMac; I was pissed about Waiters getting picked 4th over Barnes, but I admittedly am not a huge watcher of college hoops. In fact, I am quite the idiot when it comes to NBA draft prospects, I'd rather spend my free time pining over future Browns' players. I do like to learn about Cavs players once they get drafted/acquired, and I was happy to discover what I would find on Dion. In this case, I am happily enjoying crow on the Dion Waiters pick, and I don't expect it to be my last taste since we are starting to discover Chris Grant doesn't really follow RCF for advice lol.

I don't see anything special in Barnes' game so far, that would make me think I'll be regretting the Cavs passing on him; doubtful Chris Grant is at this moment, either.

Wasn't a fan of taking Barnes at 4. As someone mentioned earlier.. taking him later in the lotto after we got our playmaker in Dion would have been alright. But Barnes is in a nice situation where he isn't expected to be a playmaker, handle the ball or the bulk of scoring. Going into the draft last year my top guys at 4 were
MKG

Drummond

Then Beal.
I had no idea who waiters was. Another great selection by Grant.

Yea, so I'd have to say Barnes has been the most disappointing rookie drafted in the Top 10 this season. Robinson and Ross are close, but they haven't really been given time. Rivers was expected by many, including me, to be bad, so he's not really a disappointment. Barnes, however, gets time, and basically does nothing. IT's not that he's making bad plays (like Rivers) he's just making no plays. He's just a body floating around, barely noticeable at all.

Barnes struggling comes to no surprise, really.

When a rookie enters the league, it's expected they will have ups and downs. I personally never hated the Waiters pick, I was willing to give him time to see what Grant saw in him. I was mistaken when I figured he wouldn't be as good as Barnes, as of now anyway, so I give Grant the Cavs' scouting department two thumbs up on the selection.

Its too early to tell which player would be better, but right now I'm pretty pleased with Dion Waiters. While I think Barnes will shake off his recent struggles and produce like he's capable of producing, I still like Dion's game.

If I could change anything, however, it would be Drummond at No.4.
