LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lol Houston must have been jealous of the attention LBJ was getting and now they posted a video of Dwight doing the same thing. Wonder how many others will be doing this now... :conf (11):

Lol... honestly, is there any other pair more unlikable than Harden and Dwight? I'm surprised they haven't had a little hissy fit spat with each other and imploded by now.

He is 42.7% from the post this season. It's not very good, but that's probably because he is being double teamed there, which frees others.

lebron lost weight and didn't play in the post at all this season for the most part because he was the primary ball handler. His offensive style/attack in Miami was totally different. It was mainly high and low post with with 3's and transition mixed in. This year, almost everything was started from the 3pt line.

Last season..

East scout: LeBron James is 'best post-up player in the league'

It would be foolish to think that those numbers mean James has hit some sort of plateau, though. As one Eastern Conference scout told Sporting News, "He is better this year, actually. He keeps making the game easier for himself, finding ways to get easy baskets. It is not like he is on autopilot. If it looks like he is not always giving 100 percent effort, then it is only because he has so many things figured out, even more than last year."

The main difference, another East scout said, is James' ability in the post. He began cultivating a post-up game three years ago, and had success with it almost immediately. But this year has been different.

"He is the best post-up player in the league, really," the scout said. "You used to be able to get him to take jumpers in the post, but now he is smarter, he is able to get by you and get himself an easy basket. It's a nightmare. He is that much more efficient."

Indeed, when you break down the numbers, it is clear that James’ post-up game has evolved into the league’s best. First, start with frequency (post-up plays as a percentage of James’ total offensive possessions), going back to the 2010-11 season, his first in Miami:

Now, take a look at a few aspects of James’ post game over the last four years — the frequency with which he would go to the rim out of the post, his overall efficiency (points per possession) on post-up possessions and his rank within the league in post efficiency:

As you can see, James has drastically altered his approach toward his post-up game. Last year, when James set up in the post, it was likely that he would take a jump shot. It is now twice as likely, though — nearly a 30 percent chance — that he will instead go to the basket and get a shot at the rim.
That’s how James’ post-up game has changed, and it reflects an overall shift into what’s become a common bit of wisdom in the modern NBA —t hat the two best shots a player can take are 3-pointers and layups.

James received high praise last year for his efficiency in the midrange game, but even as he has improved that shot, he is de-emphasizing it, instead taking more 3s and shots at the rim. A breakdown of James’ three major shot types (as a percentage of his total shots) shows he is limiting his midrange attempts and getting to the rim far more often:

Finally, all of this can be put together to show that James, even with reduced overall numbers, is more dangerous than ever. Not only is he getting to the rim more, but he is incredibly efficient there.
That, combined with his continued excellence from the 3-point line, has caused his true shooting percentage (a measure that combined 3-point shooting and foul shooting with 2-point field-goal percentage) to balloon — in fact, he leads the league. The following chart shows the steady improvement of his shooting percentages from the 3-point line and at the rim, and the true shooting percentages that have resulted:

Lebron plays his best when his back is against the wall. His 2 best series of all time came when bosh was out for most of the 2012 Indiana and 2012 Boston series. He exploded. With a weeks rest (or more if the bucks can steal another) He will be ready to go.

If they can get past Chicago the ECF will be a cake walk and we will just need love for the finals.

its nice to give Lebron a week off...we are going to need him...Lebron knows its title or bust and if he is needed he will give it his fucking all...deep down he knows the Hawks cant beat us and I feel we are going to get vintage James...good lord I got chills typing this

LeBron averaged 27/9/6.5 on 47/20/74 splits with 2.3 steals and 1.5 blocks a game in the sweep of the Celtics. Averaging close to five turnovers a game needs to be cleaned up, but for now he's letting everyone know he's still the most dominant basketball player on the planet.

When is the earliest possible start for game 1? Obviously Love needs the time to recover more than anyone else, but a week off for LeBron to get as close to 100% healthy as possible would be huge.

So lets see

the The Hawks/Nets and the Lac/Sa series need at least 2 More games .. so even if all other serieses are ended before
those 2 Series are "sure things"

The Hawks/Nets series could be over by Wednsday
And the Spurs/Lac Series could be over earliest Thursday

So Friday is the absolute earliest!!! date.

So guaranteed 4 Day rest. with a bit of luck at least one of those Series goes 7 that would push it to the start of next week.
