Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Perfect role player.

Rick Mahorn, on NBA radio this morning, said it is a skill to be able to get under another players' skin.

Mahorn's right, but he really didn't get under the skin of other players. He basically (well, metaphorically) took the direct approach of just clobbering them over the head with metal chairs.

I'm loving Delly in the Bulls series, but in the playoffs, matchups can really overshadow talent for a role player like Delly.

The matchups against Boston were horrible for Delly. Delly's stats were horrible too.

The matchups against Chicago are great for Delly. Delly's stats look great.

Going to be a problem if we play Atlanta in the next round. Is there any other team left that has a backup PG that'd give Delly fits?

Says the guy who gave Mark Price a concussion, with an elbow to the head, thereby ending our first best chance at having the #1 seed in the East. Rick Mahorn wasn't very subtle about getting in or AT people's heads. I'd say his credibility on this issue is limited.

I had spent the late 1980s hating Rick Mahorn. I have spent the next 25 years wishing the Cavaliers had a guy like him. Look up the youtube of Mahorn "pulling the chair" on Luc Longley. He used to do that stuff all the time. I have a love-hate relationship with Mahorn.

A great case of ref incompetency. If Taj was called for a foul here, or a few plays earlier when he shoved Delly on a rebound, he wouldn't have even been in the game, as he would have fouled out.

Well, Delly gets a regular technical, which isn't going to affect jack going forward. But he baited Gibson enough to have him thrown out of the game.

That's a big win for Delly. Too bad about the fine, though I expect his next contract to make it bit a lot less.

Yeah, the refs should have called that foul, but Delly deserves a tech for the leg lock. I was actually really surprised he wasn't assessed one last night. And he got Gibson ejected, so it was worth it.
