Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
PG: Kyrie, Mills, Delly
SG: Shump, JR, Harris
SF: LeBron, draft pick?, Miller
PF: Love, TT
C: Moz, Varejao, Splitter

If that's a 14 man roster, that would be all time stupid good. And all time expensive. Would our 5 quality bigs be happy with drastically fewer minutes? I mean with that roster you could literally do the Spurs plan and still win most games.

Why would mills want to leave the spurs? Good luck with that.

It's a trade so he has no say, the Spurs need to dump Splitter's contract to make a run at a max free agent, Mills and Delly are the starting back court for the Aussie National Team and like playing with each other, Cory Joseph proved he can handle backup point duties...

Sarcasm only works when you understand what's going on, Hank. I co-run the website for a good reason. Might want to take a break, your shit has been awful.

Hey Keys is Spliter and or Mills the ones we have eyes on according to Bens post?

Splitter had been publicly on the trade block since the Spurs were eliminated in the playoffs. Aldridge listed San Antonio as a possible destination and many outlets immediately said Splitter might be a salary dump to make it work, along with a player to sweeten the deal. If you follow the Spurs, you know they are point guard rich and Joseph is emerging. Ben has nothing to do with it if you follow the NBA throughly on a day to day basis.

Joey Crawford just whistled you for a flagrant 2 on that one, Keys.

Thanks I have not followed the Spurs that much this year or the NBA for that matter as I had a real stressful winter. Somewhere I heard people bring MKG is that even possible and I mean would the Bobcats even want to trade him?

Any ways hard to pick between the two but Patty Mills if we Keep Delly for sure. I would rather shore up our PG and SF spots and pray our bigs stay healthy.

Problem with admin you can't win. Cant say he knows much about the Australian national team.

I'll buy the notion that Mills and Delly like playing together, but how much would they play if we have Kyrie, Shump and JR returning? I still don't understand the need for Splitter either, unless we are assuming that either Love or Varejao are leaving the team. I get that Splitter would be more useful than Haywood, but there has to be a greater need that can be filled. Mozgov, Love and TT seem to be a great trio of bigs, with Varejao as insurance.

It seems like we need more help with scorers and playmakers, maybe SG or SF types. Or maybe a stretch 4 who could replace Love if he leaves or gets hurt again.

I'm starting to think we should let JR go. I mean he was a lot of fun to watch but you just can't count on him. His suspension nearly cost us the Chicago series and he came up empty in the finals until like 2 mins left to go in the final game, and it was too late by then.

We don't have a choice with JR, its a player option...however I do agree that of all the players on the roster (as against the retirees), JR is the one that I would be least sad to see go...if he thinks he can make more than $6m plus elsewhere, see ya

Pop is on record that Mills will be there as long as he is. I don't think he is an option or a good choice. The issue is not only one of skill set, but as I've said before matching players complimentary skills. I don't think LBJ and Kyrie are a good match. Both need the ball in their hands and want the ball in their hands. If you add a backup PG with the same mentality then you will have a conflict in style. Cavs need two reliable outside shooting options and I agree JR may not be one of them.

That is the tricky thing. What we need is a delly to hustle and be a d&3 guy and to move the ball, if we have all our players. But everyone is saying what we need if we don't have Ky or LBJ, then patty would be perfect. Truth be told if Ky and LBJ are both not on the court we might be in deep sh** anyway. It's difficult to construct a team for what to do IF you lose a max player. Who can lose their max player(s) and win?
