I think it's a buy low time on both Mills and Splitter. In 2014, the Spurs don't get through the playoffs and beat the Heat without them. They seemed like untouchables moving forward. Then we find out Mills blew out his shoulder right before the finals. Kyrie, Varejao, and Splitter all play in the 2014 FIBA world cup in the summer and seem to be exhausted for most of the NBA regular season this year.
What if it was FIBA's fault these guys didn't have the stamina this year? Obviously with Mills, his shoulder injury was the reason for the down year. But if these guys are finally healthy? Damn.
I like the concept of buying low, particularly on Mills. My worry with Splitter was my recollection (which could be wrong) that he couldn't stay on the floor against the Heat because of pnr's. If that is the case, we take on a bloated contract for a fifth big who will rarely see the floor.
