NEOMG

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Holy shit. Did Dion just say that it might be better that he comes off the bench? I never thought I'd hear that. I wonder who would replace Dion in the starting lineup for the long run. Maybe Smokin' Joe would eventually step into that role as a 3 and D 2.

This is just my opinion, but I feel like Dion's full of shit. He's the one that suggested to Blatt that he come off the bench? Somehow I doubt that.

Why would he tell such an easily refutable lie to the media? That literally makes no sense...

Who's going to refute it? Only Blatt would, and he's not going to go out of his way to make one of his players look bad like that.

So Dion lied about approaching Blatt asking to come off the bench for what reason again? Sorry, just trying to understand your thought process on this...

I can see it. He wants to show off his talents without all of the big 3 hogging the ball. With the big 3 all we need from the 2 spot is solid D and a few 3's. Dion loves to score. He has a better chance of scoring coming off the bench.

Because that's the narrative he wants to put out there, so he can appear like a "good soldier".

The coach had made the decision to move Dion to the bench, so it makes Dion look better if he says he thought it was best for him anyway, instead of the perception of it being forced upon him unwillingly.

Oh give me a fucking break here. Some of you are dying to make this bigger than it is just to justify your reasoning to not like someone beyond baskteball reasons.

I'm really starting to question this message board now. Are some of you low-key Islam-haters or islamopobic?

I understand there's a huge support for Israel here, and that's probably where it rubs off from - but to be this nitpicking on a subject that should've already been closed when D Waiters clarified it- shows how much people really want to make a featherweight of a problem to a HUGE one.

Really starting to not like this website or message board. Getting really fucking disgusting when people want point out a certain religion to be the reason why someone "hates" America, when that's not even the case.

Worst than a fucking Pro-Romney rally group.

Finally someone calls Gour out for the racist islamaphobe that he is... :chuckle:

As for the interview. Dion told a few fibs in there. But let's move on.

He may not play tomorrow. :(

Was one of those fibs that he was the one who asked to come off the bench? Or was he legitimately benched by Blatt? I don't care about the religion stuff. Only how Dion really felt about being benched and whether or not he will accept that role or if it's temporary, etc.

Neither Kyrie nor Dion seem to have learned a thing. Gotta agree with Luol that this team is pretty dysfunctional.

While I haven't been super happy with the quality of Haynes and the rest of the NEOMG cave reporters. I'm even more displeased with the quantity of their output. I mean in Sunday's sports there was only one Cavs specific article in the entire sports if I remember correctly, and thats on a Sunday when the Browns didn't even play. There wasn't even an around the NBA section or a q&a "ask Haynes" segment . I mean you have three reporters covering the Cavs/Lebron and all you can muster in the sunday edition is one measly article?

I'm not impressed with the content that's coming out from NEOMG but they're still getting their feet wet. It's going to take time. Haynes let Dion off the hook while other writers were fighting his battle. That's a red flag for me but like I said, its early.

Haynes's articles read like they're lifted from Bleacher Report ... e.g. heavy thesaurus use, awkward sentence structure, etc. Do not like.
