post 121 - OJ Mayo UFA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He'd actually fit our offense well and would play well with Kyrie. But I think Lee is right and, because of where he was draftedand name recognition, we'd have to overpay to get him.

Sessions and Eyenga, maybe a 2nd round pick for Mayo? I like his game, would like to have him but not overpay for him.

id do this...but i dont want to during the season..he might help us win games we need to lose

Farmar is better than Sessions.... and Morrow is better than Boobie or Parker.... and most importantly, Mayo is hot garbage. Why am I reading this.

Farmar is not even close to better than Sessions. He is assisted on 64% of his shots (to Sessions 19%), and Sessions gets to the foul line a lot more and has about twice the hands rating. Oh, and sessions has the speed to play in the NBA while Farmar is molasses in vermont slow.

Fuck Mayo. We gotta get Gay. Guaranteed Chip.

I know it's early as shit and only 12 games into the season, but we are already "placed" 7th seed in the East right now, and the East as a whole blows dick from the bottom.

Luckily our schedule is pretty tough the next 10 games (after this GSW game).

I'm all for a high draft pick, but I do love seeing the team play how they are and actually winning some games

I think they are very comparable players. Ramon is quicker, which allows him to get to the rim and miss layups. Not saying Farmar is anything to write home about, but he can shoot, unlike Sessions, which in my opinion, makes him slightly better. Although its like saying a pile of dog shit is better than a cow pie.

This is the a good example of undervaluing our talent to insure we don't overvalue them. Farmar is in no way better than Sessions. I don't think Session is great, but he is not a worse player than Farmar. Marrow is about as equal a player to Parker and Gibson as your gonna find. As for Mayo being hot garbage, eh, maybe. I don't why you are reading this.

The Grizzlies’ motivation would be to acquire a bigger, more accurate shooter with an average contract. Morrow, 26, is a career 45-percent shooter from three-point range. He’s shooting 46 percent from beyond the arc this season in 12 games with New Jersey.

The Nets have also offered point guard Jordan Farmar, a draft pick and cash in a separate package for Mayo.

I'd love to swap Sessions for OJ Mayo. he is the sort of 2 needing a change of scenery that we could build on moving forward

Boobie could play backup PG and Kyrie could play more minutes

Also, I just wanted to say that I used to like Mayo and Rudy Gay. Thanks to (several posters) RCF, I now hate both of them.

I don't see any comparability. They are completely different players, and as far as Memphis is concerned Ramon would be a lot better for them. Leading the second squad, Ramon will go to the rim, draw fouls and make life miserable for the other team. I disagree entirely with the writers premise that Memphis needs a three shooter, but if that were true, send booby instead of Ramon.. All that said, I am not hot for mayo.. I could get interested if I were getting a pick for Jamison, and sessions..but as I have said before, what memphis really needs is sessions and Av.. Add those two to the gay, Gasol, Conley trio, and I think Memphis could play with anybody...

I think trading any of your disposable assest for a starting caliber guy is worth it in most situations. With bringing in Mayo, it would allow the Cav's to focus in on a SF in this draft and we know there are some good ones comming out this year if they declare. We gain a starting SG, but we also lose our flexibility in this upcomming NBA Draft. Teams will know we are focusing in on getting a SF and might play hardball with us during trades ie moving up/down. As opposed to having the flexibility of drafting a SG or SF.

The Cavs aren't to the point where they need to focus on postion. This draft needs to be about BPA except pg. That means if their BPA on their internal draft board is a pf then you take them.

Yes talent talent talent. Our rookies look promising but it still is only 12 games into the season
