I didn't get a chance to watch last night. Did Taker make an appearance?

Brock & Heyman came out & Heyman said Brock is the true #1 contender, but HHH & Steph tried to please him by telling him he could have an open contract for WrestleMania. Heyman said Brock declines & that he wants to make history, not just have some open contract.

They were about to leave when Taker's music hit. He looked at the WM sign & Brock told him to sign the contract then. Brock signed it himself & shoved the pen against Taker's chest.

Taker grabbed the pen.. Brock slammed his hand on the contract. Taker slammed the pen into Brock's hand & chokeslammed him through the table.

Best part of the night, besides Hogan's return.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

Agree.

Though, I do almost feel bad for Batista. He's just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think he'd be over (or at least more over than he is currently) if the Daniel Bryan movement wasn't going on.

Couldn't agree more. I do think the WWE overestimated the casual fans interest in Batista returning, but the WWE has only themselves to blame for his return being the bust it has been so far. Having Batista come back a week before the Royal Rumble, and winning it to become the #1 contender after being gone 4 years and not even having a singles match yet, was a little much. Especially over the likes of guys like Bryan and Punk (before he left) who are more deserving of a Wrestlemania Main Event. They should have known better than that.

All that being said... I do like how the Wrestlemania card is shaping up so far.

Undertaker vs Lesnar is years in the making from what I've read, has a built in story if WWE choses to go that route, and will be fun to watch their different styles clash. Both are part timers and won't need to hog much TV time to promote/build the match. It honestly sells itself.

Triple H vs Bryan may not be what everyone wants, but it does make the most sense. Trips has been screwing Bryan over since Summerslam in August. It's a match that has 6 months of build to it. I honestly think this match has more meaning and purpose behind it than the original rumored HHH-Punk match before Punk took his ball and went home.

Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena is just intriguing to me. It has that classic superhero vs. villian angle, and Wyatt has been booked stronger than any heel recently with wins over Kane, Bryan, and The Shield to be a realistic contender to beat John Cena on the grandest stage of them all. Alot of us want to see The Wyatt's vs. The Shield Part II, and I'm one of them, but I'm definitely not overlooking this match and the promos/build that will lead up to it.

Batista vs. Randy Orton... sighhhh. As long as it doesn't main event to close the show I can live with it, unless they add Bryan by some sort of stipulation to make it a triple threat. Batista has 6 weeks to become a full blown heel, which it looks like he started showing signs of last night. It's best for WWE to capitalize on the fact the fans hate him and run with that. Overall, it just reeks of a slow and plodding match to me, but I'm willing to give it a chance assuming it's lower on the card. Orton and Batista need to work their asses off in and out of the ring for the next month to sell us all on this one though.

Right there are 4 matches that are all but confirmed. Essentially half the card is already booked. Some fans will find a reason to hate on it, but so far I'm mostly intrigued and impressed. We have 4 main event caliber matches and still 6 weeks to build them up, along with the mid/lower part of card to put together. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the card shakes out with guys like Cesaro, Sheamus, The Shield, Goldust & Cody, The Uso's, New Age Outlaws, RybAxel, Big E, Mark Henry, Del Rio, Ziggler, Miz, and potential returns from Jericho and RVD.

I'm pretty sure they're setting up for a 3 way between the SHIELD for the US title. I'm guessing there's going to be a 4 way tag match for the title. Probably Cody vs Goldust. The problem is there's a lot of talent people would like to see, but I feel like there's going to be a battle royal before the event for the IC championship.

I agree... I see a Shield Triple Threat happening with or without the US Title on the line. If they don't intend on doing it for the US Title, then they need to have someone take it off Ambrose bc the title has been irrelevant on him for awhile now. A 4 way Tag Match seems like a good idea also between NAO vs. Uso's vs. Goldust & Cody vs. Rowan & Harper or Ryback & Axel(?). Big E vs. a heel Mark Henry, or Titus O'Neil if WWE is serious about pushing him, for the Intercontinental Title sounds interesting. Cesaro vs. Sheamus would be an awesome upper mid card match on paper, but Cesaro needs to break away from Swagger first. Also, likely a Diva's match tossed in there. I'll assume Tamina Snuka turns on AJ within the month to set that up, as AJ has no real challengers left. Anyway, just thinking out loud with alot of these ideas.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

Cesaro is going face, too. Cesaro v Swagger.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

the card will hinge in Cena's health.

Orton v Bootista
HHH v Bryan
Goldust v Rhodes
Taker v Lesnar
Triple Threat Shield
Cesaro v Swagger
Some diva bullshit
Cena v Wyatt-- Gauntlet maybe?

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

Yeah, last night looked to be the start of their split, which is great news for Cesaro. I could see Cesaro facing Swagger at Mania, but went with Sheamus bc I think Cesaro deserves a better opponent. That, and Sheamus doesn't seem to have much going on at the moment, and unless Jericho/RVD return I dont see a legit opponent left for him. Mark Henry, Del Rio, and Christian would be rehashing recent feuds and stale.

That card is ass besides Taker and Lesnar.

Orton and Bootista will garner so many boos and chants of past and present wrestlers that it will be ridiculous to not add in another wrestler and a staple of some sort.

HHH sucks now. It's so predictable that Bryan will win the match.

WWE is so stupid lately that they should of built Shield vs Wyatts starting last night and have promos all the way to the big showdown.

I'm not even gonna bother streaming the crap if shit doesn't change.

Even if HHH sucks (which he doesn't), Bryan Danielson can carry him through the match.

Cesaro can carry anyone in his sleep, and Swagger is no slouch.

The Shield Triple threat will be a wet dream.

Cena v Wyatt will have wonderful storytelling, as will Golddust v Rhodes.

The only match that sucks will be Bootista v Orton, and if they're heel turning bootista Bryan is going to be entered into that match. They will not end Mania heel v heel.

I say it's ass because the featured match is ASS. Bryan should be there, instead we get HHH.

Wyatts vs Shield should be money with Roman turning face after a loss. Orton and Batista is the worst championship main event ever.

You're trying to sell yourself with Cena Vs. Wyatt, just admit Hulk Cena Vs. Husky Harris will suck.

HHH hasn't wrestled since summerslam and looked awful against Lesnar, I doubt this match will be any different.

Cesaro is a great talent and I love dirty dutch. The guy that's dropping the card is Swagger.

The shield triple threat will be great and I'll accept the filler match of Rhodes Vs. Rhodes.

The card doesn't have Ziggler, which makes this PPV a joke.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

The grandest stage of them all, should end, well I'll tell you at the end. Bryan should be in the fucking match, flat out. No one has been this over since Stone Cold stunning the boss. WWE is a fuck up this year. Wrestlemania would be so awesome if Bryan overcame every obstacle, from Kane, HHH and Steph, and ultimately Vince. Bryan wins 1-2-3 and 80,000 people scream YES!-YES!-YES!

While there is egg on the authority's face. After all this time of laugh being on Bryan and now its on the authority. It wouldn't be predictable because you set it up as them trying to screw Bryan over again. But he overcomes everything you throw at him because he's developed a true never give up attitude after all the screw jobs.

WWE doesn't know what's right anymore.

I'm selling myself on Husky Harris as Bray Wyatt, who is absolutely wonderful considering the fact he's writing his own promos.

Brock can't wrestle for shit, and that's basically proven. He's stiff, he's difficult to work with. Worried about Taker's health, though.

Swagger is actually really good. His lisp is horrible.

Ziggler is odd. There's a reason he can't stay over, and I have no clue why.
