The Connor Shaw thread...

Man, that Connor Shaw tape is horrendous. :chuckle:

If I told you that was Johnny Manziel, would you believe me?

I know I'd believe me. Same shit.

Shaw me your TD's!

Sorry, that's the best I can do.

From Rotoworld:

Rex Grossman turned down a contract offer from the Browns for week 17.

Grossman is choosing instead to spend the holiday with his family. We can't blame him. The Browns have nothing to play for, and Grossman isn't in need of a one-week paycheck at the league minimum at the expense of missing Christmas. The Browns will turn to undrafted rookie Connor Shaw vs. Baltimore.

High five guys! My best work to date.

The SHAWshank Damnation.

Hoyer finished the game on Sunday and I don't see why he wouldn't play out the season. That's way better than having to subject myself to seeing the updated quarterback jersey with Shaw's name on it all over the media. Anything to avoid that.

Last game of the season with nothing to play for. So let's start an old veteran who won't be on this team next year vs. giving a shot to a young prospect who may be on this roster next season? I say you throw the young kid to the wolves and see how he handles the adversity. He likely won't get another chance to start. Success in a situation where the entire deck is stacked against the kid would give the coaching staff a great reason to keep him on the roster.

But let's not do that because of a stupid meme. Right...

Does anyone think the quarterback of the future is on this roster? Every quarterback looks like their ceiling is a stop-gap.

Personally I don't care who plays next week. The defense is decimated with injuries, and the offense is lucky to get a first down.

Another game of Hoyer/Manziel isn't going to show us anything we don't already know. Playing Shaw next week would be throwing him into the deep end with cement golashes. If he can swim, he would earn a roster spot.

That would be my best case scenario for next week. Anyone expecting more than misery is deluding themselves.

Sadly I don't think the quarterback of the future is in this draft class either...

And of the last draft class teddy fucking bridgewater looks the best sadly. Who is who we all said we would like to have at the beginning of the year and talked ourselves out of it.
