He had a hell of a game tonight. Really exposed those sieves Monroe and Drummond. A couple of really nice young bigs, but absolutely dog shit defensively.

Glad to see Thompson bust em up.

It should also be expected that on nights Andy doesn't play, Tristan would get a share of the points/rebounds Andy would normally get.

I disagree just because I would have thought this as well but on the last road trip when we were without Andy TT was downright bad and didn't pick up the slack. This was a man's performance tonight.

We know TT is the definition of a workhorse. Smith/Monroe/Drummond are much close to the opposite. Not surprised at TT's big game tonight.

On a side note, Jack and Deng have really been getting our bigs involved. And Kyrie is seeing that and starting to follow suit. TT can actually score a bit (aka he can't be left alone) if he has guards that know how to run the show, and is playing with guys like Zeller, Bennett, rather than Andy.

Can I get Tristan Thompson game highlight package please?? :)

Best game I've ever seen from TT, and it was against Drummond. Props.

I've only seen like 2 posters on this site eat crow out of a truckload of instances. The community here is horrible in that regard.

[rant]Never quite understood why some folks think it is so important for other people to admit they were "right". Who cares? That's the kind of bickering and point-tallying that can make a message board horrible.[/rant]

Drummond DID go for 16 and 17, and we got horribly out-rebounded.

It's not like Drummond was a$$...

Dude puts up crazy numbers and has some freak plays.

But at this point in his career he's an awful defender. DPOY?? Yeah right. TT was able to make his moves on both Drummond and Monroe like they were Chuck Ellis.

What is evident is that TT is really a 5. The team plays better if TT mans the 5 other than forcing him to be a 4 with AV.

TT got dominated on the glass the first three quarters...

Getting a mix of mostly cleanup buckets and some Kyrie-assisted buckets in the 4th quarter isn't going to change my mind that he is negatively affecting our offense.

Still love the guy, this doesn't have to be a black/white love/hate TT/AB thing...

Also there was some statistic that showed the ream gives up a ridiculous amount of points when TT is at the C

I didn't say he was a bad player or lacked potential. I said that anyone who projected that he would be DPOY this year clearly has never seen him play. He's not a good defender at all at this point in his career, and all anyone has to do is watch him play to see that. There's a hell of a lot more to defense than highlight blocks, although apparently ESPN doesn't know that.
