LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Got to admit getting a bit concerned: he's just so passive out there right now. There was a few drives when I thought he'd for hammer dunk and just dumped it off or threw up a weak layup attempt. I'm still convinced that when he doesn't look comfortable he's gotten like this in the past but would love to get a big game out of him to put these doubts to bed.

Im glad hes back but Lebron is seriously one of the most overrated players to ever play the game. He just lacks what all the greats had, a heart and killer instinct. How hes not going out there and shredding teams game after game is beyond me. Hes constantly taking horrible fade-aways when he could have easy layups, hes not pushing the ball, and he just doesnt look like he gives a shit out there. Just embarrassing play to start a hyped season.

I've never seen in him look so loose with the ball before. He looks human out there.

I just hope for everyone's sake this will be nice memory to look back on and have bit of a laugh.

LeBron looks like he is playing with a bunch of high school girls out there and not in a good way. Reminds me of a guy that is holding everything back in fear of looking like he is trying to hard. He is so loose with the ball, his handles don't look the same and when he attacks the basket (slower than I've ever seen in his career) it's almost like he is not focusing on finishing but is instead just going to flip the ball up towards the rim and hope it goes in. It's just 3 games into the season but I'd prefer to enjoy watching basketball instead of 2.5 hours of crap.

I got the same impression--it's weird. That "look" he's had on his face give out this vibe too:

It's how he played in Miami when he used to have bad games. Part of it was him trying to protect his FG% and TS%, but another part of it was him being super passive. He really needs to get rid of that habit.

For all of his accolades and accomplishments, sometimes he plays like he's afraid to fail and he really doesn't have that "stab them in their hearts" mentality that Jordan had, Kobe has, Westbrook has, etc. He's just smart to pick his spots, but he really needs to be aggressive on the offensive end night in and night out.

Sometimes I do wish LeBron would go Kobe and just go 12/30, but Lebron never pushes it when he's playing bad.

His body language has been quite poor ever since he has come back, starting at the media day session. I'm not sure what is going on, but he doesn't look very engaged, and he just seems content on sitting back, taking some perimeter shots, and moving the basketball. We haven't really posted him up much, and when he drives to the basket he is often being stripped by the help defense. He's going to the floater quite a bit and he doesn't seem keen on finishing strong around the basket. Personally, I think it is a combination of his back being more of a problem than is being lead on, and there are some obvious chemistry issues and team flaws(our guards seemingly always having to pound the rock instead of making a quick pass or take a shot, and our lack of interior defense).

that's a very interesting quote...

This is exactly what I saw and posted it in the game thread earlier about Kyrie and Waiters. So I am glad he said that. To me this looks like a team with bad habits and and trying to hard to get out of them. I fear some players may take a long time before learning any form of offensive and defensive system lets pray.

Nah I think the issue here is that the team has absolutely no spacing and he's been playing 4 out for the last 3 years.

Blatt and Griffin have work to do because the Heat already wrote the blueprint on the kind of players and system he needs to succeed.

Kobe just had 39 points even though his team lost. At least he put up a fight and went down swinging. LeBron took the coward way out and refused to be aggressive on the offensive end.
