i cut it myself and have since i was like 16

#8 up top with a high fade into #3 on the sides, blended sideburn 3-2-1 into scruffy facial hair. pretty easy to do myself, idk why i would pay for it. sometimes i use product but when my hair is short enough it will naturally stay a bit flipped up front and center, how i like it. i don't like the feeling of product in my hair since i run my hands through my hair a lot. only thing i can't do well is the neckline. i just have my natural neckline, cover up my hair with one hand and shave underneath that.

i have a receding hairline on the sides of my forehead and idk what else to do. i hate having long hair, i just grew it out until i couldn't stand it anymore last month and it was like 2.5 inches and that took months wtf.
You can still do cool stuff with your hair(shit look at what Jude law accomplished for the longest time). I don't have the perfect hairline at all and kind of thought the same way as you. The right products can make your hair look look like it has a ton of texture and volume.

Never paid for a haircut in my life. My mother is a licensed cosmetology manager and cuts it whenever I need it. One of those things I take for granted.

Gotta love @Maximus digging up a guy's post.

Here's russfan69 just after the Bills game...

Russ is very cerebral and a baseball player. He knows when to slide and never over extends himself. Johnny can be wreckless, uses his toughness to extend plays and prove something. Russ plays within himself. Johnny plays too cocky, tries to prove everyone wrong and wants to make the hero play...which may be the wrong play. Both guys are hot, but Russ is probably the hottest guy in the NFL, if not sports as a whole.

I have actually seen some very talented female barbers. If you are trained to do men's hair and you work on it all day, I don't think the sex of your barber/hairstylist matters. Going to an all male barbershop is cool though because you can't exactly have the same conversations with women cutting your hair.
Unless she went to barber school she isn't a barber. If she went to cosmetology school then is predominantly trained in cutting women's hair.

There is a huge difference.

OK, im now convinced that TyGuy is obsessed with men's haircuts. :chuckle: This is from a week ago...

Yep, I totally am, and I freely admit it. I subscribe to youtube channels that deal with men's haircuts and styling tips. Keys is right too, i'm not use to all this rain up here; you have to make sure your dong is well kept too. You can't forget about the boys downstairs; they need to look sharp for the winter too.

My wife does this for a living. The difference between a barber school and a cosmetology school is the art of shaving. Barbers do it. Barbers also aren't held to as high a standard with color.

There's about 50/50 ratio guys to girls as "models" if you go to one of those institutes. The reason you see women working on women hair more is because of how much there is and the color training.

I'm not sure how true this is because I haven't researched it, but apparently a shave by a barber is illegal in NC.
Perhaps a straight edge razor is? I couldn't imagine a shave with a safety razor being illegal. If i'm going to get a shave in a barbershop, it better damn well be a straight edged razor.

I was posting in the very inactive Mike Miller thread, his post was a few above mine...so hush yo mouf! :cha (28):
If Mike Miller's game shape and jump shot get back to levels that match his haircut; we will be in very good shape. However, that is one tall task because he has a really nice haircut.

I'm not sure your barber is really a barber, then. :detective:

A barber (from the Latin barba, "beard") is a person whose occupation is mainly to cut, dress, groom, style and shave men's and boys' hair.

Sounds like your barber may just be a type of cosmetologist. :chuckle::chuckle:

Cosmetology (from Greekκοσμητικός, kosmētikos, "beautifying";[1] and -λογία, -logia) is the study and application of beauty treatment. Branches of specialty includes hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics, manicures/pedicures, and electrology.

I kid. I honestly learned something about "cosmetology" after this thread. :chuckle:

But, I think they still do straight shaves in NC. You do have to go to barber school to be able to shave someone. Perhaps, it is in the license.. I just found this place for a shave in NC.. Female owner/barber, too. o_O

In my day, the barber was responsible for village blood lettings and leech applications. If you didn't have a holy relic to cure your cholera or measles, you could count on the barber to drain the bad blood.
