You guys have some metro hair styles.

As for myself, never paid for a haircut in my life. Mother went to beauty school, so she cut it when I was younger, then when I moved away to college I just cut it myself. Go at it with the clippers and a #4 guard usually. Taking it up to the #9 for winter. When I go awhile without cutting, Ill throw some wax in there for my bangs since my hairline leaves a lot to be desired.

No, we just don't like looking slobs. If you are doing something with "bangs" that signals an immediate problem.

I keep my hair tight and clean cut for the most part. Not sure how that equates to looking like a slob. Bangs isn't the right word. I don't have bangs. Hair just grows into more or a point.

Never understood people that think it is "gay" "un-manly" "Metro", ect. to want to be well groomed. If you aren't a particularly good looking guy you can still make yourself look attractive by dressing nice and having a nice haircut while being in decent shape.

Even if you are really good at cutting hair (I doubt it) you shouldn't be cutting your own hair. Do you think a doctor would be performing his own surgery? A really good haircut could still last you a good month and there are very reasonably priced barbers and stylists.

Has anybody got a straight razor shave at a barbershop? I like to maintain some facial hair, so it seems like it would be a waste by only getting my neck shaved.

Wait, so you spend all this time sculpting your body only to get a haircut that is fit for a recruiter? Dave, I'm ex tremely disappointed.

It's how I look best. Why grow out hair if it looks bad?

Metro isn't necessarily a bad thing, just not my style. Maybe I will take your advice sometime though about trying someone out. I dont have to be good at cutting hair though. Going over it with clippers and making sure my edges are lined up is easy.

It looks like you have a decent head of hair. I use to think the same thing, but I was getting too short of haircuts and using the wrong hair products (gel that made your hair like a helmet). I think it is also good to note that you need to take your face shape into consideration. I have seen people with nice haircuts that look really bad on them because it doesn't fit their face.

You don't know your style because your style is the absence of style. It is the empty set. It is why you only get laid by girls with low self esteem.

But really, you have the right attitude, as you said you would try it out. Holidays are coming up. Ask for a gc to a place near you w good yelp reviews and give it a whirl.

May be a tad sexist, but I only let women cut my hair.

Used to get some different fades but for the past few years its been been a #1 all over. 1/16th of an inch. I go to a barber. Only way to do it. He's a younger guy and owns it but works with an older guy so I get to hear the old people bitch and complain when I come walking in with some new Jordans on. Barber shop is very underrated. It cool to sit down and bullshit with the old timers and hear about how things were back in the day and shit.

Got of topic a bit. So I get a one all over. Lines me up nice, tapered in the back and square up the sideburns, and hits the eyebrows. I'll do this aBout once every 3 weeks but when I don't, I do it myself every week.

i cut it myself and have since i was like 16

#8 up top with a high fade into #3 on the sides, blended sideburn 3-2-1 into scruffy facial hair. pretty easy to do myself, idk why i would pay for it. sometimes i use product but when my hair is short enough it will naturally stay a bit flipped up front and center, how i like it. i don't like the feeling of product in my hair since i run my hands through my hair a lot. only thing i can't do well is the neckline. i just have my natural neckline, cover up my hair with one hand and shave underneath that.

i have a receding hairline on the sides of my forehead and idk what else to do. i hate having long hair, i just grew it out until i couldn't stand it anymore last month and it was like 2.5 inches and that took months wtf.

If you do part your hair on the side do it the superman way on the left side and not the Clark Kent way on the right.

Unless you want to be a creep

It is, especially because most women aren't really trained in how to cut men's hair. I guarantee if you find a good barbershop you'll never let a woman cut your hair again.

I have actually seen some very talented female barbers. If you are trained to do men's hair and you work on it all day, I don't think the sex of your barber/hairstylist matters. Going to an all male barbershop is cool though because you can't exactly have the same conversations with women cutting your hair.

I agree, I gave up the cheap haircuts, and started going to Lady Janes or Sport Clips. While they are not top quality it is a a lot better then the great clips, most of the time it takes 30-45 mins, you get your hair washed, and have a cute girl doing it.
