Pyro, I appreciate your opinion but one thing stood out to me... Forza.. How is Forza in anyway a better exclusive than Gran Turismo?? GT is far and away a better racing game in almost all respects. I'm a huge Turismo fan, even built a racing seat in my basement for it.

Well really I just included Forza because that's what all the XBOX One fanboys bring up. Never played a Forza game in my life. :chuckles:

Drive Club looks like it's going to blow Forza out of the water.

So I went ahead and bought the PS4, any recommendations on a shooter?

I've heard Battlefield was fantastic, I've been a COD guy for the most part but honestly think I'm probably about over it.

If you want a great single-player game, go with Wolfenstein. There's no multi-player, but the campaign is long and very well done.

I can't help much with multi-player. I play most of my shooters on the PC and have never really been into CoD. I've heard mixed reviews of the new Battlefield but haven't played it much, and have no clue if it plays well on consoles. Killzone is supposed to be decent as well.

Different types of games. Forza is more of a simulation while Drive Club will be closer to a game like GRID.

You have heard wrong. BF4 is a steaming pile of shit. CoD seriously looks like a PS3 game. Killzone is beautiful albeit generic in terms of play, if you can get it ~$30 its worth it IMO. Not a shooter, but Infamous was pretty great to play through the story and is probably the best looking game out right now. and TLoU if you havent played it

So since I have both consoles, and have had both for a sizable amount of time, thought I would post my thoughts...

1.) If you like baseball, get the PS4. MLB 14 The Show is the best game on the market. And it will only get better with every release. Plus, your "Road To The Show" save file will carry over from release to release now.

2.) If you like multiplayer games, get the PS4. There's no question that the multiplatform multiplayer games run better on the PS4. Battlefield is one example.

3.) If you like COD, however, get an XBOX One. More people play COD Ghosts on the XBOX One than the PS4. You get the DLC a month earlier on the XBOX One. You will still get the DLC a month earlier when Advanced Warfare releases.

4.) If you like exclusives, get the XBOX One. Halo. Gears. Forza. All incredible games. And with the Halo Master Chief Collection coming out, oh man, that game will be taking up so much of my time. And imagine if they did something similar with Gears. Gears 1-3 in one package? Yes please.

Just to be fair, Call of duty sold more on ps4. There are more games to play on ps4 from a raw numbers standpoint (and it is a substantial gap) that take attention away from the weakest cod to date.

As for exclusives, TLOU, Uncharted, GT, Bloodborne, Infamous, MLB, Killzone, The Order, and Driveclub. The counter to tjat is decade old Halo games, the second Forza in as many years, and a GOW that just started production, and likely won't be ready until 2016...

I don't think any of the exclusives, except for Zelda are worth buying a system for. The only, and I do mean only game that I would not want to live without is cod zombies. The others can burn.

Killzone is abysmal.

I would suggest BF4. If you want a COD-like experience, get the Dragon's Teeth DLC. If you want an experience like nothing you have ever played before, get the Naval Strike DLC.

I used to be obsessed with GT3 and 4, but Forza is more fun IMO with the aesthetic customization you can make to the cars

Thats's fair, I was just speaking more from an image quality/gameplay quality perspective. Been blown away with the improvements DC has made since the delay. Pretty stoked I get to play a solid portion of the game for free just for being a PS + member.

f'real. every single EA game comes with day 1 DLC, hell you have to pay $70 for FIFA if you want all the features. stop giving EA money

Plus on the PC you have to use Origin to play their games. Fuck that. I've already got Steam open and a catalog of games a mile long I'll never have time to play. :chuckles:
