His defense is very impressive. I see potential with his offense, but even if he doesn't reach it he should be able to be a lock-down defender at the next level.
Is anyone else as impressed with the PG for UNC (Marshall) as I am? This kid's court vision is off the charts. He has to work on his jumpshot, but he's got good size (6-3, 190), and he's only a freshman.
He's really, really good.
Barnes has the same exact mannerisms as Kwame Brown..... He's very skitish out there as well...
When PIP played for the '97-'98 Armco Heating Co. Hornets, he tended to mumble in the post game interviews... that is his manner of speaking... he just sort of rambles... After PIP went to college and got a degree in 19th century American Literature, he wanted nothing more to emulate his idol Mark Twain and represent speech colloquially in his writing style... ellipsis are the literal representation of how he talks...What...
the hell are you...
talking...
about...
And why do you end eveyrything with...

He reminds me of Kwame... It's not his game (which is lacking) but it's the deer in the headlights look and the lack of aggression as well that reminds me of him...What...

The point guard for UNC though, damn, he has some great court vision.
Edit: As I type this, Barnes gets a lose ball, fights through 2 defenders, and shows amazing body control to get the and-1 layup. That was an NBA move.
