Mass Effect 3

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Id like to know too. He seems to play a huge role actually.

As soon as I'm not broke, I'll let you all know :chuckles:

I assume that if Mordin isn't alive by the time ME3 rolls around, Maelon will replace him. It makes sense storywise, since he was the one working on a genophage cure in ME2, but there's no way he comes close to replicating Mordin's awesomeness.

Good call...although theoretically you could have killed Maelon and had Mordin die in ME2, right? Say if you used Mordin in the wrong spot on the suicide mission?

Got done with the part where (Citadel Spoilers) Cerberus invades the Citadel. Might be my favorite part of the game so far.

This game is just insane. I'm glad I have 5 saves from Mass Effect 2. It's going to take all five playthroughs of ME3 to see the majority of content and experience the variety of situations. The sheer breadth is just...wow.

*SPOILERS*

I just did the mission where you run into Grunt. I let the Rachni queen escape (again) and Arakh Company perished in the process. Grunt's final stand was fucking SICK! I thought for sure he was dead but then he emerges all bloodied and shit. I guess if you had him loyal in ME2 he survives that fight, but if not, he will die.

Just so many possibilities. Ridiculous game.

When I first read about how everyone in your ME2 party wouldn't be squadmates in ME3, I was a bit iffy with it. So far, it couldn't be farther from the truth. Their story arcs and cameos (particularly Grunt, Thane and Mordin from what I've seen so far) are amazing.

Yeah, they are really good.

Some of them have bigger parts than others though.

I think regardless of loyalty certain characters are going to die. My imported playthrough had everyone survive the suicide mission in ME2 and had full loyalty and yet *SPOILERS IN WHITE* Mordin and Thane both died.

Yep. Regarding those two examples:

SPOILERS IN WHITE

Thane dies no matter what I think...unless of course he already died in ME2.

Mordin you can save, though, actually. Problem is, if you save Mordin, you can't cure the genophage. He has to die in order for the cure to happen. If you do wanna save him though you just convince him not to cure it. Renegade players or whoever kills Mordin to stop him from curing the genophage, man...that scene is rough. I don't know how anyone can bring themselves to do that.

IMO *white* Mordin's death was possibly the best moment of the series so far. It was so emotionally involving and really sad, and yet it was so MORDIN. I let him cure the genophage, I figured that I had invested so much through the 3 games into curing it, I couldn't back out now. Also, I knew Thane was gonna die at some point due to his disease, but at least he went out like a champ.

Totally agree.

white:

I don't think I could ever bring myself to shoot Mordin and prevent the cure from being distributed. Ugh. I went and watched the cutscene on youtube, and it is fucking heartbreaking.

Personally I killed Mordin. The cutscene broke my heart though. I had to do it though, I had to get the Solarian help, just wish I didn't have to kill him.

In white ^

Mdog1 (in white):

You can get Salarian help another way.

You can also convince Mordin sabotage is the right course of action and you don't have to kill him. You will have to murder Wrex though.

Let's just say I have some huge complaints about the ending(s) to this game, but Bioware has something up their sleeves, I can tell.

The journey was absolutely stunning though. Don't want to spoiler, but...the part where the track "I'm Sorry" plays...probably the most powerful scene in a game I ever saw.
