Ryan Hollins waived

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As a fan, I would like to thank Ryan Hollins for all his contributions to the Cavs and the organiztion. Oh wait... :chuckles:

The Celtics appear to be first in line to acquire Ryan Hollins should be clear waivers, as is expected. A league source told the Herald that Hollins is interested in the C’s and, barring an offer he can’t refuse from another club, he will make the move. Boston Herald

gotta love the accuracy of ESPN

Waived C Ryan Collins.

who is that Collins guy?

I can't remember. Is there a deadline for picking up free agents? They can come out of retirement for the playoffs if they want to, right?

This Friday at 11:59 p.m. ET is the NBA waiver deadline. Any player waived by then is playoff-eligible if picked up by another team and signed by April 27, the day before postseason play begins.

Teams can sign any other free agents (who don't need to be waived) by April 27 as far as I know (and they are playoff-eligible).

Then my dream is still alive!

It says a lot about Hollins career and impact when all the NBA transactions I saw listed yesterday except one had him listed as Ryan Collins.

It's still amazing that if your 7 feet tall and basically just have a pulse you'll get chance after chance. No matter how desperate the Celtics are, how will Hollins help them at all?

Wait so we have an open roster spot now? Who are we gonna bring in? Oden maybe?

great, first lebron and now this? time to burn my ryan hollins jersey.....:chuckles:
