2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I almost hope the Cavs move up to 2 for Beal just because I think it would be hysterical to screw Washington like that.

If this trade is indeed on the table I"m sure it includes taking on some big time salary. Andy for a 7th doesn't make sense for GSW, but if they can unload some contracts it might be worth it to them. If Grant doesn't pull the trigger it probably means we didn't want to blow our cap for the next few years just to get a prospect.

I'd be willing to take Stephen Curry back as a bad contract in that deal. Just barely though.

All these Crazy Rumors and watch somehow we sell our farm and sou l and get NO's pick Number 1. So far so great then the times comes.... The Cleveland Cavilers select.... Andre Drummond. Then the Bobcats buy Into Thomas Robinson Interview that he should be the Number one pick. Beal already done deal with the Wiz right? then the Hornets are on the Board and take Anthony Davis.

The silly Reason I posted this Is A. I really hope we somehow get the #1 and Davis #2 This would be typical Cavs draft days antics as a joke meaning we were more high on Drummond and NO tricked us Into trading as they would take him. Sadly Cleveland sports draft have done this to me... I can never expect a sound move, However With Trent Richardson with the Browns, Kyrie with the Cavs, I have more faith In reality I hope the Cavs come up MGK and or Thomas Robinson since one will for sure be there. Drummond would be a my wild card and Barnes my 'McNabb" Pick. I would hate It, yet he me become the Underdog or sleeper top 5 pick. Anyway you cut It I am good with any one of them.

If GS is looking OT move contracts, they will be wanting to move Beidrin and Jefferson who together earn about 40 million dollars over the next two years. GS has already used thier amnesty on Charlie Bell, so the only way they drop these unproductive contracts is to trade them. The salary value is the same as okafor and Ariza, although it could be argued that Okafor and Ariza are more functional than Biedrin and RJeff. But it is quite a leap to think GS would trade AND the 7th overall, when NO actually got a pick back from the WIZ. So it would be a coup for grant if he pulled it off, but my guess is that just taking the salary is not enough. It would require giving up some combination of Andy, the 24, and or the. Sactown pick. So If it took Andy and the 24 to get number 7, would you do it, and who would you hope to get?

What Portland does determines if we pull the trigger. If beal is off the table before we pick, or if we pass on Beal for Barnes or MKg, I think it is more likely they take Lillard, leaving either Beal, Drummond, or TRob on the table, it would makes sense for us to make the trade.

Kidd-Gilchrist has no reason to leave Beachwood anymore. He will be a Cav.

If the draft DOESN'T turn out like this, I will be stunned.

NOH: Anthony Davis, PF, Kentucky
CHA: Thomas Robinson, PF, Kansas
WSH: Bradley Beal, SG, Florida
CLE: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF, Kentucky
------------------------------------------------
From there to the end, I THINK it will go like this:

SAC: Harrison Barnes, SF, North Carolina
POR: Damian Lillard, PG, Weber State
GS: Austin Rivers, SG, Duke
TOR: Jeremy Lamb, SG, Connecticut
DET: John Henson, PF, North Carolina
NOH: Andre Drummond, C, Connecticut
POR: Terrence Jones, PF, Kentucky
MIL: Tyler Zeller, PF/C, North Carolina
PHX: Perry Jones III, SF/PF, Baylor
PHI: Arnett Moultrie, PF, Mississippi State
HOU: Meyers Leonard, C, Illinois
DAL: Terrence Ross, SG, Washington
MIN: Jared Sullinger, PF, Ohio State
ORL: Royce White, PF, Iowa State
BOS: Jeff Taylor, SF, Vanderbilt
BOS: Andrew Nicholson, PF, St. Bonaventure
ATL: Tony Wroten, PG, Washington
CLE: Quincy Miller, SF, Baylor
MEM: Evan Fournier, SG/SF/PF, France
IND: Orlando Johnson, U of Cal-SB
MIA: Fab Melo, C, Syracuse
OKC: Moe Harkless, SF, St. John's
CHI: Marquis Teague, PG, Kentucky
GS: Draymond Green, PF, Michigan State

I would not pass up Harkless, due to Miller's injury concerns. He has yet to regain his burst he had in hs after a year and half. I would be happy with him but I am running to the front of the stage if Harkess somehow drops to 24, I dont see it happening.

Choosing between Miller & Harkless would be a great scenario at #24. I might opt for Harkless slightly over Miller, but it's very close. Remember, Miller was the top rated recruit in the 2011 class by SLAM magazine before tearing his ACL. If he gets his explosion back, which can take a year or two, then look out.

You dont take on salary for two worthless players. , trade one of your most competent players and a 24th pick to get a 7th pick in the draft.

That isnt getting value out of AV. its called getting fleeced.

Now if GSW wants to throw in bogut or Lee into the deal. that a different story.

Nene? He's in Washington

If we do this deal with Golden State, i'd like to see if we could get Jeremy Tyler back in the deal. Last month of the season he started getting more minutes and was impressive. His shooting is questionable but he's a good rebounder and could be a pretty good role player on this team

I'm skeptical that the trade scenario with GSW is actually on the table, but I would definitely be in favor of the Cavs making such a deal.

Nevertheless, I just imagined Andy in a Warriors uniform and feel like I just watched one of those Sarah McGlachlan animal commercials.

You're either missing the point or you don't see the value in getting the #7 pick in a strong draft. The trade wouldn't be about the player we get back, it's all about the #7 pick, which should allow us to add another young, core group player. Our core group of guys are under the age of 25, which is why Varejao, at age 30, isn't a great fit. I'm under no illusions that this team is going to compete for a title this year or next. By the time we are ready to compete for a tile Andy will likely be 33, 34 years old. Andy is coming off a season in which he averaged a double-double and over 11 rpg. The Warriors have Bogut to start at center & David Lee at PF. Andy would likely be their 3rd big man, which is really the perfect role for him.

This guy...

you get. Waiters, henson, zeller, lamb, rivers, sullinger, leonard, jones or marshall.

there is drop at 7 from 2-6. then another after 7-12.

looking at 7-12 you have Golden State, Toronto, Pistons, New Orleans (2nd pick), Portland (2nd pick) and the Bucks.

GSw isnt going to just give the cavs the 7th pick for av straight up. nor are they going to give up any quality players just a washed up guard and a never was center.

I have no problems with taking on biedrens and jeffferson in exchange for the 7th . throwing in other picks like the 24th and some future picks. or even throwing in Gibson. AV is just too much.
