2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ok I do not get this....did GS trade for Bogut last year or season and now ant Andy to. As they already have a center In bedriens (or however you spell It)? yeah this trade does not add up as of now. However Joe K broke or reported this.... I agree there might be something to It. The guy Is or was an agent and knows the business well so we shall see. I would do this In a sec.

Drummond falls in the 7-11 range in most mock drafts these days.

I know you aren't a Drummond fan (I'm not either), but I don't think that's true. Givony at DX (dated June 20) has Drummond going at 6, as does Chad Ford/ESPN (dated June 19). So does Amick's/SI (now a week old, from June 13). For what it's worth, nbadraft.net also has Drummond at 6 (dated June 20). So does Kotoch (dated June 20). Seems pretty nearly the consensus at this point.

There definitely has been a shift in opinion re the Cavs over the last 24 hours or so, partly but I don't think exclusively due to the Wizards' trade. DX, Ford, and Kotoch all now have MKG landing in Cleveland. This is a first for DX and Ford, who had been projecting Beal and Barnes in recent mocks.

On the other hand, we do have assurances from the poster with a friend in Portland that the Blazers are picking Lillard at 6. So there is that.

Honestly, if the Cavs can find a way to get MKG at four and Drummond at seven it would be unreal. Davis, MKG and TRob are the three safest picks easily, and Drummond at seven is more than worth the risk because his ceiling is easily the second highest in the draft.

So let's say this happens and it takes MKG a year or two to get his shot down. He absolutely WILL get it down. He's never been asked to be a long distance shooter so he's never really worked at it. He will now and just like his free throw shooitng he'll be pretty damn good in time.

And let's say it takes Drummond a few years to get his game right. That happens with almost all bigs entering the league.

What does that do for the Cavs? It gives us another high pick [say 8-12] pick next year and a 15-18 the next year.

You add those to three freaks like KI, MKG and Drummond, who have had time to grow up together, and you're talking about a defensive nightmare for opposing teams with the atheltic ability to dominate the glass and live at the free throw line.

Shooting is a neccessity yes, but it comes and goes. The ability to defend, rebound and get to the line though are constants.

Actually Joe has been far better then any of our beat reports for inside info. He is the best thing going since Windy left.
Left me take this opportunity to call out Mr. Finan, boyer and Lylod, time for you guys to earn your paycheck!! Not impressed!!

Just because Kotoch is spewing out information doesn't make him BETTER or MORE REPUTIBLE than any of the Cavs beat writers. I could make shit up all day, throw it up on a blog but would i be a reputable source? Well, what's different about Kotoch? And actually, Jason Lloyd does a very good job. The PD, not so much.

That Golden State deal will never happen. Never...... it's so incredibly unrealistic, it's making me nauseous just how many people are buying into it! (Not calling you out personally just the thought of this trade in general since its blowing up this board.)

See I think it makes a ton of sense for GSW. Now is a good time for them to try and make the playoffs. Why not right, they gain nothing from having a mediocre season next year, and Andy and Bogut would play fairly well together.

Curry
Thompson
Wright
Lee
Bogut

could be a playoff team when you bring in the defense of Andy at the PF/C to back up Lee and Bogut. Also maybe Andy is a Mark Jackson type of player.

Loyld doing a good job? They guy that wanted to argue if Irving was going number 1 3 days before the draft? The guy that said he could not confirm Nick won the coin toss with NO after Gilbert tweeted it? Sorry, the last time he was on knr he added nothing, (he was even at a loss for words when asked about prospects at 24 and 33 and 35) Joe k never said this trade was 100 percent happening, but he got it form a league exec. Sorry but Joe k is running circles around Finan and Lyold just like WIndy use to do. If you cant see it, then you have not been paying attention for the last 3 weeks,

To tell you about Kotoch the guy Is usually right about things and he as and I said a former or current agent has ties with teams and for some odd reason has good ties with Cleveland as I think he grew up around here. I seen him on STO and he Is really stright forward no BS type of guy. So he does have some credit yet as for him being better than any other media well no... They will still say things to stip up pots. However Kotoch Is not really one to do that unless there Is a little something behind it. I agree Lloyd Is as good as well. I trust those two over anyone else right now

I agree I remember him calling the Irving pick and easing my mind.... I was trying to think of that when I wrote my other reply.

portland is the key team here. if they took lillard we could get drummond at 7 after we took mkg at 4. that would be a draft that could possibly lead to a dynasty.
srummond listins to authority and on cbs draft show today they were gushing at how good of a character guy he is and if you surrond him woth mkg, irving,tt and coach scott he cant fail here. a front line of mkg,tt,drummond would be so hard to score on it is orgasmic. also our transition game would be okc/heat type with all our players from 1-5 being althletic and faster than most players at there position.

heres another mock having drummond drop to 9 (he wont pass det)

13 million buy out would of counted against the cap.

Instead they get a Quality Center at at guy who can shoot half way decent from the arc. Okafor is 29 and Ariza 26. ALong with Nene now the wizards have a solid core to provide consistency and production to develop your youth around.

Wizards were instantly better after this trade. New Orleans added flexibility.

The Wizards are paying over $40 million for two players that aren't going to be any better than a couple vets they could have gotten in the FA market. And Trevor Ariza really can't shoot.

Either way, I don't care if the trade was good for the Wizards or not. All I care about is them taking Beal so the Cavs can take MKG.

The Wizards have Nene and Seraphin. Okafor will be the third string center.

They lost a lot of money and the 46th pick for a 3rd string center and 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both are signed through 2014.

Thats such a Wizards move.
