Four Team Deal Sends Howard to Lakers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor (Dwight says he'll re-sign longterm in LA)

Montejunas is likely that could play center because he's 7'0. Morris and Patterson are both 6'9 so that's unlikely

Montejunas cannot be traded until August 3rd.

I understand that, but if talks are going nowhere right now. They still could be discussing trade come August 3rd

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor (Dwight says he'll re-sign longterm in LA)

More from Lloyd:

If a deal was close, Cavs would be allowed (with permission from Lakers) to talk to Bynum's agent. David Lee said so himself. It's common in deals of this magnitude. There have been no talks between Cavs and Bynum's camp.

The key phrase here is "with permission" maybe they haven't received permission yet because of some other hang-up

I'm sure in about a week we'll have another thread exactly like this one reach 100 pages before it gets busted again.

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor (Dwight says he'll re-sign longterm in LA)

My only question is where is MSB when you need her?!

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor (Dwight says he'll re-sign longterm in LA)

I'm wondering why Bynum's agent would take the time to talk to a Cavs beat reporter. How did that serve Bynum's interests? What would Bynum or his agent gain from saying anything in this case?

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor (Dwight says he'll re-sign longterm in LA)

The deal isn't really close to being done because Orlando is in NO HURRY to get it done.

As everyone has noted regarding how Waiters and Zeller can't be dealt until 30 days after their contracts were signed, the same goes for any of Houston's rookies that they would include in a deal.

It's in Orlando's best interest to wait. It could land them more young players...and they've been dealing with this "Dwightmare" for this long...what's a few more weeks?

It's not like the season is starting anytime soon.

Don't look into Lloyd's tweets too much. Dude knows nothing.

It's funny because everything was quiet until The Bullshit Whisperer tweeted that premature bullshit.

Nothing. Only to prevent the deal from blowing up is the only thing they have to gain, to take the time to talk to a Cavs beat reporter.

It's literally amazing how Lloyd is pretty much shooting everything down. To me, it's pretty damn obvious. A variety different sources said Bynum would be open to signing here, now all of a sudden it's never been mention. Hmmmm.

Re: Three-Way ORL/LAL/Cavs Rumor (Dwight says he'll re-sign longterm in LA)

I have a bad feeling the Cavs source which he has, has been feeding him info because we decided to walk away again this afternoon....

Cavs dont want the bad Pr of not being able to pull off the trade.. Instead the narrative of there never being any real talks is much better for the fans to swallow!

And neither do we...or likely anyone else. People get way too caught up in rumors and speculation.

Except Houston has yet to sign their rookies. That means that they can be traded right now and without any cap implications to go with them. You can trade the rights before a contract is signed and Houston has not gotten that done. The rumor is that Houston drafted with Orlando in mind, so Lamb, White, and Jones may all end up going to Orlando in a trade.

I doubt the Cavs would be willing to trade Zeller or Waiters.
