It just doesn't make sense to bench Kyrie, Andy and Gee at the same time. The 2nd unit is terrible. You minimize it's carnage by separating the shit as much as possible. The bench crew has no energy and no scoring. Unless we flat out don't care about winning at all, we can't be going 5 minute stretches with 4 or more bench guys simultaneously. It's nothing for that period of time to cost us 12 or more points. That's the 2nd game it has cost us already. It's easy adjustment for Scott to make, but I'm not sure what he is trying to prove. If he's trying to light a fire under guys like Miles and Sloan by putting pressure on them, it sure as hell isn't working.
You could tell this game was a loss during the 2nd quarter when they flatlined and got lazy on defense. That was never corrected. Waiters tried to bail us out, but this was a pretty brutal performance. PHX is middling at best. Can't blow a 26 point lead against them.
