Why isn't Kyrie running the offense in the fourth?

It's nice to have nights where Kyrie might have been the 3rd best player on the floor for us tonight. Dion looks like he's going to be a force, such a good thing to see.

A healthy Kyrie and we win this easily. Outside Irving, Waiters and AV, this team doesn't have starting quality talent and the bench is thin. That is why people were predicting 25 wins to 35 wins tops.

The biggest problem with the bench isn't that some of them can't have a good night (Boobie certainly can), it's that consistency is far more valuable in role players.

From game to game it is a total crapshoot for players 6 through 9 in the rotation.

Both, this was easily the best he looked driving and finishing at the hoop though.

It just doesn't make sense to bench Kyrie, Andy and Gee at the same time. The 2nd unit is terrible. You minimize it's carnage by separating the shit as much as possible. The bench crew has no energy and no scoring. Unless we flat out don't care about winning at all, we can't be going 5 minute stretches with 4 or more bench guys simultaneously. It's nothing for that period of time to cost us 12 or more points. That's the 2nd game it has cost us already. It's easy adjustment for Scott to make, but I'm not sure what he is trying to prove. If he's trying to light a fire under guys like Miles and Sloan by putting pressure on them, it sure as hell isn't working.

You could tell this game was a loss during the 2nd quarter when they flatlined and got lazy on defense. That was never corrected. Waiters tried to bail us out, but this was a pretty brutal performance. PHX is middling at best. Can't blow a 26 point lead against them.

if this game were in 2006-2010 when we were supposed to win, i would have been pissed, but i'm really just enjoying watching this squad. i'm giving irving a pass tonight because he was still sick, but he is becoming a little too dribble happy for my liking. it's all good, Waiters is the real deal it does seem. guy is a straight baller!

Our team is young. Our bench sucks dick. Kyrie was sick. Phoenix sucks but still has some veterans and some young talent that can win a game. We will not compete for the playoffs this year.. I know that kind of loses are hard for the rookies, but they will learn from this. Dion is amazing, and that's what counts for me.

why are people complaining about playing time four our two young guards. Guard play isn't our problem. Our 2nd best scorer was our backup guard. Sloan only played 6 minutes. The problems we had are Zeller was out and Miles is awful. Playing Dion or Kyrie more than their 31 and 38 minutes isn't going to fix either of those problems.

We need another quality big (even with Zeller) and a real SF.
