Of course I wouldn't do that straight-up and bare the risk of Cousins ruining our locker room. In case you didn't read everything, it would be completely contingent on an OKC deal as well, meaning we'd have a monster vet presence in Perkins, as well as a top-5 pick in TOR's. So we'd basically be at: Kyrie + Cousins + 2013 lotto versus Kyrie + Andy + Dion + 2013 lotto. Given we're trying to move Andy anyways, I'd bank on a sure-fire combo in Cousins/Kyrie and whatever player we draft next year over our current situation. As much as I wouldn't want to lose Waiters, it would free up the option of Goodwin, Shabazz, or McLemore without interfering with current commitments at the same position.
Do you think Sacramento would let Cousins go for anything less, anyways? If so, you're sadly mistaken.
Regardless, it's not like this would ever happen, nor should any play for Cousins happen without a guaranteed influx of veteran presence. Just fun to think about.
