I understand the risk and reward that comes with Cousins but what has he done in 3 years to warrant taking a chance on him? There has been no progress with his demeanor or attitude issues... You can say the Kings haven't handled it right or he's in a bad situation but we've seen no progress with him... It's been the same old episode over and over and over and over with him... How many more coaches do you want him to get fired?
The thing with the Cavs is that they aren't in any position yet to take on someone like this... Bringing in Cousins would mean placing him at the top of the food chain here and having no one really holding him accountable; that's not what you want... That's the reason why he's partly the way he is in Sacramento, aside from just having a few screws loose... You can say Kyrie is at the top of the food chain here but he's not the KG type leader (not that it's bad)... The Cavs also don't have a Pop or Doc Rivers type coach to reign him in as well...
The situation just isn't right..
The thing with Cousins is he affects the on-court and off-court chemistry.. And as trivial as that may seem in the scheme of things with how talented he is, it's created a somewhat cancerous atmosphere in that locker room... Losing doesn't help but Cousins has yet to show any signs of maturity..
The Cavs are doing things the right way.. I wouldn't want to see the Cavs semi-blow it up for a player who doesn't seem to get it and wouldn't be entering the right environment for him to succeed...
