Regardless of outcome tonight, I love the way Dion has played. Constant attacking, finishing, hitting free throws, creating for others.
This team is just massively short of a true, talented 8-9 man rotation.
Gee and Zeller at this point should be the 7th and 8th man
Even if you want to go ahead with Kyrie, Dion, and Tristan being legit 1-3 type guys, we're short 3 good players.
Ideally our offensive pecking order should be:
Kyrie
Star SF/or offensive post player.
Dion
Tristan
multidimensional wing(better version of Gee)
solid post player
Gee
Zeller
As it is now everyone who matters(Kyrie, Tristan, Dion, Zeller, Gee) is being asked to play a spot or two above what they're ready for right now.
When we add another potential star from the draft and hopefully sign or trade for another legit player, I think the turn around can be quick. With the right moves this team will have the talent to jump up to 45-55 wins by 2014. Right now, there are just several pieces glaringly empty.
