I can't see expansion teams joining a league that has kinda been tossing the word "contraction" around, so who's the next most likely team to move?

You betcha. I didn't think it was going to happen. Boy this has been an amazing day in the NBA.

I have to wonder though, why did they vote for the Kings staying when the Seattle deal netted them more money overall and raised the prices of franchises. Doesn't make business sense, but who am I to complain. I have to feel bad for Seattle fans.

why is it bad news to prefer a team stay in their city vs having them move to another city?

Some people wanted the Sonics back, can't blame them, but this is how it ended up. Once again, my condolences to Sonics fans everywhere, even if they hate my guts right now.

Because there was nothing for them in Sacramento. Even the Sacramento fan posting here brings up that Seattle would have brought in more money, advertising, etc. California is BANKRUPT.

Yes, it's horrible Seattle lost their team in the first place, but I'm not sure how any Cleveland (specifically, Browns) sports fan can think a team staying in their city is a bad thing. Hits too close to home for me, I'm happy for Sac-Town.

Listen, it's just different for me because, and this may sound stupid, but when I was a kid, I used to pick the Sonics all the time in any N64 basketball game, so I've always had this sort of... connection to Seattle. I feel shit on, and I'm not even that emotionally involved in it like actual die-hards.

Nothing in sacramento? Do you not remember how much fan support they got before the Maloofs destroyed the team? They need a new stadium, it's been approved. Moving a team should only be a last ditch answer. Anyone who supports Cleveland sports should agree.

Yes, it sounds pretty stupid considering there are some die-hard Kings fans out there that almost lost their favorite sports team in this mess.

I love the idea of the Sonics being back in Seattle...but it's hard to root for a city to lose a team because of our situation in Cleveland. And even if you can root for it to happen, "Terrible news. Fuck the NBA." is a bit of an overreaction. You, not being from Seattle, are saying it's terrible news that a city didn't lose their team.

I can't stomach that with our history. But then again, you do troll a lot so I'll just assume you're trolling by exaggerating.
 
What part do you think I'm exaggerating on? Picking the Sonics all the time? I didn't even know there was a basketball team in Cleveland when I was a kid.

You've got nothing to be ashamed of or to apologize for. I hate it when a loyal franchise gets their team ripped away. The Sacramento Kings are NOT the Seattle Supersonics.. I can understand if Sonics fans are pissed at Oklahoma City, that's understandable. But there should be no hostility towards Sacramento; although, I'd understand if Kings fans were pissed at Sonics fans for actively cheering on this debacle.
