2013 Series #34 -|- White Sox @ Indians -|- July 29th, 30th, 31st and August 1st

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jesus...we get it already.

They're already doing exactly what you're saying...

I hope so... next step is bringing up salazar for a post season run. He will bring an electricity to this team. Best stuff in the organization, hands down. I see a young Pedro ready to dominate now.

Well, that's a pretty drastic reach...But he'll be ready in the event any of these starters go down or stop producing like they have been.

There is nowhere for him to go right now.

He can have a 97 Jared Wright effect.

My 4 man rotation for post season.
Masterson, Kluber, Mcalister, Salazar.

Kazmir is my long guy. I dont trust Jimmenez.

Swisher's days of playing outfield regularly are over. His shoulder is too sensitive.

Starting roles next year:
Santana DH and backup catcher
Swisher 1B and occasional DH
Stubbs RF
and whatever bench help as necessary.

Not too complicated.

Wright was pretty average, and if that's what you're expecting then he could probably be that guy.

With that said, the other guys are just pitching too well to give him a shot. Until that changes, he should stay in Triple-A as insurance.

would not mind making stubbs a bench player. Would love to upgrade the3rd outfield spot. Could take the offense to the next level.

Wright have that team a huge emotional bust. It was electric in the stands when he took the mound.

Looking good Masterson!

This ump is squeezing Masterson.

I was pretty young back then, but I think you're misremembering the hype surrounding Wright. It was a cool story in regards to how he pitched in the World Series, but he was absolutely not the stopper or uber-prospect with a ton of hype you're making him out to be.

A little bit of pomp due to the era of Indians baseball in which he played, but he was a pretty below average pitcher who was pretty mediocre that season. He was also helped by getting three runs or more in all but one of his starts that year, receiving less than four runs of support just twice.

Had two OK starts in the World Series, though....Maybe that's the "electric" atmosphere you're remembering.

While an outfield upgrade is a nice thing to have, I think the FO is gonna focus on fortifying our pitching staff in the offseason. And maybe restructuring at SS while we wait for Lindor.

That K tied Masty's career high for a season... in eleven less starts.

He gave a team a huge emotional burst, I was in the stands for those post season games. No, statistically he was by no means great, but man did he give the team some confidence. I think Salazar has that something special in him. I stand by it.

Another RBI for Raburn!
