2013 Series #34 -|- White Sox @ Indians -|- July 29th, 30th, 31st and August 1st

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I could literally see Mark Reynolds fall into a pool of sharks with lasers on their heads and be happier than if he ever entered a batter's box for the rest of his career.

What a shocking at-bat from Reynolds. I'm legitimately perplexed that Reynolds was unable to drive the ball there. No doubt he will rebound and get back to his .330 days.

Swisher: 85 H / 18 2B / 11 HR / 33 RBI / .249 AVG / .404 SLG / .753 OPS ----------- 339 AB

Raburn: 48 H / 13 2B / 13 HR / 36 RBI / .279 AVG / .544 SLG / .369 OPS ------------ 172 AB

I know RR isn't an everyday guy, but Swisher's arm isn't anything special and he doesn't need any OF time. I love Swish, but he's been a bit of a disappointment, power wise, this year.

do not want reyonolds at bat in october in critical situations!

Back to wright. I know his era was just okay, but he gave the team a sawger when he went to the mound, the way he attacked the hitters, They DO NOT get to game 7 of the ws without him, he gave the team a spark, even though he was not a great pitcher.
I see Salazar with that "it" factor. I am done being conservative, I want to take some chances and win a title. You guys act like we should be afraid to take chances. I must have missed all those parades we earned by playing it safe in the past.

They should allow Reynolds to play with one of those beeping baseballs they use for blind people. It's only fair.

Woof. Brantley is useless today. Can't figure him out. Not a knock on Brantley. Tough being a lefty. Would've loved more runs, especially with the home run, but hopefully Masty has it held down.

I feel pretty safe with a 5-1 lead with Big Masty on the mound.

I also feel pretty safe, oddly enough, with Kluber, too.

That was fucking terrible. :chuckles:

Yo guys, let's work on the baserunning again before we head to Miami. Thanks.

wow. we cant afford mental lapses like that.. need to clean that crap up

Hahah good thing there is a lead... (unless they blow it) ...so we can laugh at that base running.

Chris Perez in Miami on the weekend may be a bit dicey.. I hope Francona has a chat with the team before they head down.

Yikes.

Swagger, emotional burst.

Please, no more hyperbole...

Before I start having nightmares about "gamers" and "clutchness."

Wright won one other game in the WS, a game in which the Indians scored 10 runs. Getting to Game 7 had very little to do with Jaret Wright, who also got smoked in his only ALCS start as well.

He was OK in the ALDS, managing not to completely screw up despite giving his team a hole to climb out of.

You're drastically overrating the emotional impact of Jaret Wright, it happens. Memories of a greater time in Indians history tend to do that.

Alright let's not let that bases loaded 1-out and baserunning come back to haunt...

Little late on the "what to do with Yan Gomes and company" discussion, but I would see what his value is in the off-season on the trade market. I just don't like the idea of moving Santana away from the plate. You keep him at catcher, his offensive numbers are elite. You move him to DH/1B, his numbers are just good for the position. Having a guy with that type of production at catcher is a huge advantage.
