I guess I was also concerned that he was just running through huge holes at Bama and I was never sold on his speed, but I think most GMs at the time would have LOVED to have Trent...which is what I'm getting at
 
he is 22 years old! 22!!!!!! the dude can outrun anyone in the NFL and at his size.....Calvin is not safe when it comes to being the best

I wouldn't consider him a giant bust at all. I think most of our offensive line woes are solved by Brandon Weeden being nowhere near a football field with his 40 second release.
 
Jesus. I still can't believe people were propagating Josh Gordon for 2nd/3rd trade ideas here earlier this year. Asinine.

That'd be like trading Jamaal Charles for Danny Amendola in a fantasy league.
 
This game could possibly be more impressive than the last two. Aqib Talib had been getting a ton of praise for his play this year and will probably make the Pro Bowl, and Josh Gordon absolutely chewed him up and spit him out. So what if he's still very raw by elite receiver standards and can only run two routes. He's got a bit of the Randy Moss factor where he's just so physically dominant at what he does well, it doesn't matter.
 
Allow me to ask a really dumb question (I don't follow football as much as I used to) - what is Josh Gordon's contract status? Should we expect to have him for a long time?

Still has 2-3 years left on his rookie deal. I think it's two after this year because I'm pretty sure he was signed to a 4 year deal when drafted.

Just rehashing my statement a while ago that I would boycott this team if they ever traded the guy.

Not worried about him leaving IF we find a franchise QB. Thinking people will wanna play with a contender. Just have to find a damn QB...
 
Had he played the 1st 2 games of the season , Megatrons receiving record would have been in serious jeopardy only a year after setting it. Gordon already has 1400 yards in only 11 games. With those 2 games he would possibly be looking at 1600+ right now with 3 more games to break the record. Crazy. All with 3 QBs ranging from average to atrocious.
 
And people wonder why I was so mad when you guys asked me how I felt about trading Josh Gordon..

I actually got Josh Gordon in my money league by trading Amendola and Joquie Bell for him lol.
