22 Jump Street - 8.5/10. Absolutely hilarious, maybe better than the first one.

I definitely thought it was better, and I loved the first one. I would give it about an 8.5 as well.

Lone Survivor - 7/10.

It started out pretty slow but I think that's how they wanted it. Wanted you to get a feel for the characters and "get to know them", if you will. Once the action started though, it was pretty intense. I mean your pretty much a dumbass if you can't figure out what happens, for a real obvious reason, but I won't spoil anything for anyone. Watched it with the girlfriend (she mainly fiddled around w/her phone) but she liked it too. Of course, she cried in the end, before the credits.

Been on a war kick, just re-watched Band of Brothers.

Band of Brothers is a 10/10, if you haven't seen the mini series, go watch it. It is streaming now if you are an Amazon Prime member. Had my gf watch it, she thought she would hate it, thinking it was another bang bang shoot em up "movie", but ended up loving it. She said she was glad she watched it to see in depth what those heroes went through.

Next will probably be 22 jump street with you all saying it is better than the 1st.

Edge of Tommorrow 7/10 - I thought the movie moved incredibly fast. There didn't seem to be a lot of character development. But it wasn't created to be a deep thought provoking film. So it accomplished what it set out to do, be a decent action flick, which it accomplished. Felt that it was a good idea that could have been developed a lot better.

Blended 8.5/10 - May be way out in the minority on this one, but i'm a sucker for Romantic Comedies. Especially enjoy the Sandler-Barrymore combo. Always felt they had a genuine chemistry on screen. 50 First Dates still remains one of my favorite movies. I thought this movie was real funny, and the scenic aspect of it being in Africa was awesome. I was very entertained, and didn't feel like there was any dull moments.

Also just saw the trailer for "The Signal" which I believe just came out. Looks like a mind-bending film. Highly interested in seeing this one:

22 Jump Street 9/10.

I give it a 9 because it managed to be better than the 1st, and keep the plot simple enough to match what the movie needed, but not too simple where it becomes annoying.

Why I liked it better:
More Ice Cube
Jokes about it being a movie & a sequel
Tatum was pretty funny
Jokes about their relationship
Angry Ice Cube
The twins & the roommate were both pretty hilarious
The movie came full circle with its plot
Tons of joke about Jonah Hill being too old for college

Ending credits (hilarious)

Dazed and Confused was on last night. What a fucking classic.

I just realized I was Don Dawson in High School and most of college. Minus the actually playing for the football team. :chuckles:

"It was just an observation."

"An observation, eh - who are you, Isaac fucking Newton!?"

That's Clint the alpha male monkey at the party. I'm talking about the guy who wears overalls and actually looks like a monkey.

I knew that, it is just every time i think of that movie - that scene immediately pops into my head. Adam Goldberg has such perfect delivery for his character. I have always liked him as an actor.

Have you seen him in Fargo? He was awesome.

Actually...have you seen Fargo at all? It's fucking awesome, you pansy ass pussy fuck. Watch it and shut your mouth with those golden pipes.

Wait, what!? Adam Goldberg wasn't in Fargo, you bastard!

22 Jump Street - 8/10

If you really liked 21 Jump Street, then you will love this. It is a natural continuation of the story where they go in as college dudes and have a spring break action fight in Mexico for the climax. Really enjoyable and funny.
