I understand why the strong Dion supports don't want Hayward since it means the end of Dion.
So on that level, I'm sympathetic.
But let's not act like Hayward is an abomination to the game of basketball.
I don't get this. Above all else we're all Cavaliers fans and simply want what's best for the team. Not everyone is going to be on the same page when it comes to which moves are best for the team long-term.
If some think Dion @5 million is a better value deal than Gordon @15+ I can understand that. I'd actually agree with that. Seems logical to me. Couple that with the fact that maybe those same people view Wiggins long-term as a SF and it makes even more sense why they'd object to throwing a near max offer sheet at another SF. Another SF whom many question his being labeled elite at that...
With that being said I understand the decision to pursue Gordon Hayward. Not saying it's the best decision imo but I can see why Griffin and co. would feel this is a good move.
