Re: #1: Andrew Wiggins - G/F - Kansas University
Wiggins has a lot to work on offensively - specifically his shot looks like he is shooting over a center even when he has space - but I agree that his lower usage rate is a good thing. Jabari Parker is learning this summer that going 1 on 5 may work in college but it's challenging against grown men in the pros. Jabari shot a shade under 35% from the field in his four games of the summer. Wiggins, on the other hand, isn't thinking that he has to be the finisher on every play. He let's the offense run its course. He trusts other players to facilitate and other players to finish. I have seen him force some drives and force some passes that just won't fly in the NBA, but overall I don't see him being passive. I'm seeing him play smart.
As for the spin move, he lost the ball a few times against Philly because they watched tape and stripped him. He needs to develop his off hand, but he is far from the first small forward with this problem. Kawhi Leonard didn't use his off hand his rookie year, but he figured it out. Wiggins is young and needs polish, but all the tools are there for stardom at a young age.
