Zach Lowe: Cavs have the worst court design in the NBA

Zach Lowe also didn't list the Cavaliers as a contender for LeBron in his post-Finals column about his free agency (but did list the Hawks) :chuckle:

Ouch, Zach Lowe has no expertise on the subject? Um, who is then? He does say the rankings are subjective in the second paragraph and mentions working with league execs and court designers as well- they might possibly have some expertise on the subject. He's not taking a shot at Cleveland, we just have a dull court design.

My favorite design is Brooklyn, with Charlotte the only other team close. We should use Brooklyn's dark herringbone floor with our primary logo at midcourt instead of a huge C, that'd be a massive improvement compared to our current design.

IMO, the Cavs need to shrink the C and have one sword going along the half-court line through the C.

But who cares about other team's courts...I can't wait to watch the Cavs whoop those teams on every single one of them this season and beyond.

I'd take some variant of that, again...and the uniform colors. Plus, with LeBron being as Akron-centric as he is, a throwback to the Richfield era would be appropriate considering it's an Akron suburb much more than a Cleveland one.

Well yes, if you don't have an educational background on the subject, or it isn't your profession, then you don't have an expertise in that field. An article like this would have been more credible from someone like our very own Glen.

Maybe Zach's next article he can rank every teams medical staff.
 
i love our clean cut court. my favorite court design in teams history. love the giant C and how glossy bright floor looks in the arena's lighting. i think the gold uni's combined with our court is a thing of beauty. i think it would be cool to bring back that 70's logo though, but revamped in some way.. its just funny how cleveland is always put last in everything, always, no matter what it is.. i know this specific thing doesnt matter but i feel people just love being bully's and kicking people (or in this case, cities) when they're already down. i dont get it.
 
It's a freaking bball court.
I dont care if it looks like shit, if your team is playing good, it will look great.

Season cant get here soon enough.

Well, I'm just going to stop here. Questioning the credibility of a writer like Zach Lowe is one of your worst takes of the summer- right below comparing Kevin Love's passing to Larry Bird's and just above calling Zach LaVine a better prospect than Andrew Wiggins.

If people don't like Zach Lowe, who cares? Writers have their credibility questioned regularly here. Many have laid out why they think he's good, that's about as much as you can do...

The Cavs change their court design regularly... I expect multiple changes going into next year. Hopefully, the move from yellow to gold is one.

You used two logical fallacies in one post to attack me on an issue that is ludicrous. All I did was put it out there that this article is an opinion piece from a guy who probably doesn't have a background on the subject, something Lowe would probably agree with. You clearly have some sort of underlying issue with me to go at me in the manner you are choosing on an issue such as this. To that I say good day sir, maybe next time you can choose a more worthy issue and be more respectful with your disagreement.
