ESPN Player ranking - The Cavs players

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's so amazing that we have the last year's two of the top 3 PER(1KD, 2LBJ, 3KL)guys. Love's enormous stats overlooked so much that people just ignore him. All they talk is 0-0 playoff record with he put empty stats etc etc is just bullshit when considered he played with crap. We actually have a diamond here. A top 5 player...

Even though i don't give a damn to the ESPN's Rankings i agree with you about Love's top 5 playerness

I don't think Love is top 5, more like top 10.

That said, not bad. Look at our roster. No other player I rather have than Lebron, only Anothony Davis over Love at pf for me, and I don't think there is a pg I rather have than Irving unless you consider Curry a pg.

CP3 and Parker are old, Rose has to prove he has recovered. Rondo? Not sure I like his locker room, and Wall and Lilliard are nice, but I take kyrie. If kyrie can show better passing skills that I think he is capable of, I take him over even Curry.

It really is a sick roster.

I'm tempted to take Wall over Kyrie at this point.

I'm tempted to take Wall over Kyrie at this point.

I'm not. At all.

Wall had the better year last year, but Kyrie has been better than him since coming into the league. Kyrie imo is just so much more potentially dominant than Wall is, in several aspects of the game. That's not even me knocking Wall, because he's damn good and he at least has a playoff appearance under his belt (albeit Irving will have one in his fourth season, same as Wall). I'm just of the opinion that Kyrie is better, and we will most definitely see a different side of his game now that he's surrounded by a ton of talent.

I wouldn't. Wall is two years older then Irving, and has played with better veterans then Kyrie prior to this year. I agree with Marcus. Irving now has experienced talent around him. All Star level talent. Irving has ALWAYS excelled when placed in situations where he had that level talent surrounding him. After this season, all of the comparisons to these lesser talents are going to go away. The Walls and the Lillards won't be in the same conversations any more. I just can't wait.

Well i take Kyrie with LeBron over Wall with LeBron cuz Kyrie's shooting complements LeBron's game. Same goes with Love if there's a debate over best PF in the world with Blake.

I think it's way closer than you guys act like.

If you go to a Wiz forum they'll all say Wall. On a Cavs forum, everyone will say Irving.

Very, very interested in comparing these two this year.

Well now that there are two more players who draw double teams, the entire team including Kyrie's numbers should inflate. Wall is still the only focal point of their offense. Gortat, Nene, Beal and Pierce aren't going to be double teamed, so he's going to have to get good at passing out of the double team.

Realistically our team has the ability to lead the league in every stat except steals and blocks.

Like I said, I am not disputing for a second that Wall is a very talented point guard. In a league where point guard is probably far and away the deepest position, he's still probably top 7 or so.

I just think Kyrie is that good, and will be even better now that he's got talent around him.

The rankings are supposed to be where they'll end up this year, though, not where they were last year. Does anyone really believe Dion won't be one of the top 100 players in the league this year? I sure think he will be. He'll feast off of open threes, cuts to the basket, and the expert passing of literally everyone else in the starting five.

His drive and kick game will also be much more deadly this year seeing as we brought in actual three point shooters, and he won't be stuck deciding whether or not to attempt a tough shot at the rim or kick it out to Gee or Clark. :chuckle:

Dion believes he's #2 already, although he might be charitable and slot Love ahead of him.

Agree, but why wouldn't you consider Curry a pg?

He is a hybrid forced to run point. He is very talented for sure, but not sure if he has true pg skills. He has average court vision and average ball handling skills. Assists alone done make you a pg. That said, I would probably consider Curry a pg.

But he is the best shooter in the game hands down.

you go to where they competed head to head for a spot on a team, Irving not only made the team, he won tournament MVP while Wall gets cut.
